Suggestion on augmented hellhound

I hope someone in charge actually see this... So l don't get why aren't the medals for glowing hellhound weapons handled like how ranked feast handed out wolf collar back then. You will get something even in bronze, But l think bronze only get 3 collars per season and 10 collars are needed for one weapon. I mean that sounds like a reasonable system to me. Am l wrong about this?
Yes, l made it to crystal, But l Just feel the system can be better Thus this post. I know people might use ultimate's glowing weapon as an example of why the glowing hellhound weapons are locked behind diamond ranking and higher. Well, people will find some method to get these things anyway and that's why the legend titles are a joke now.

Its to encourage people to keep playing ranked and try to climb. If bronze players could get it then no one would try.

Agreed on almost all points. The only difference I'd add is certain ranks guaranteeing weapons. Numbers arent't set in stone but here is an idea:

Bronze - 2
Silver - 4
Gold - 6
Platinum - 8
Diamond - 10
Crystal - 10 + x based on Crystal Rating

While taking time to achieve, it would ensure with medium performance of 1x gold and 1x silver you'd get a weapon. It would also continue promoting reaching higher to get it faster / get more.

I disagree for two reasons:

• Ranked over time suffers from lower tier queue issues, promotion to play even as a lesser skilled player should exist. Ranked rewards such as collars were on every tier, so should be Comm. Crystals
• lower ranks having a shot over multiple seasons (which is between one or more major patches) would not invalidate getting them faster or even more if you go higher. It would also not mean that people would suddenly stop trying less, Id argue people would try more outside of Diamond and Crystal without feeling their effort amounted to nothing because they didn't reach Diamond.

If they caved and awarded it for lower ranks, I just wouldn't give anything to Bronze ranks. There's almost no effort at all required to achieve it it. Anyone who never even uses Recuperate or deals only a fraction of the 2nd-lowest player every match they're in shouldn't be rewarded. Not even after multiple seasons.

Rewarding that rank does nothing to incentivize players to keep playing when you can achieve it in under an hour and then quit.

The main issue is that diamond and crystal players do not want to lose their prestige. But also lower rank players don't want to climb for nothing. If they allowed everyone to augment reward weapons and give some special, meaningful reward for diamond and crystal ranks, things would be more balanced.

They could also just give them something else as prestige... or incentivise high rank play in other ways

If only there was a system that used to do that.

If you are top 100, you get "of xxx conflict" title when the season ends. So yes, that kind of reward exist.

You are correct, but that reward along with the same repeating Framer Kits are as boring as they can get, which is not worth the effort you have to put into that.

Okay let's be real, who wants in diam+ players that literally hate the mode and just grind it for their shinies anyway?

Not me. I can make it doesn't mean l like it. Too stressful. I'd rather have it to be a long grind. And l do agree with that person on first page. I don't see how a bronze finally getting a weapon after 4 seasons of grinding would invalidate someone that can get to top 100 to get 2 weapons per season.

I think the solution of offering some of the Ranked currency that increase based on Rank is great for the Augmented weapons.

As for the overall lackluster rewards for higher ranks or even Top 100, they could easily just use a color swap of the Series Armor set or Mount, whichever there currently is on the ongoing one.

That way, there would be some prestige in playing but something similar would be avaiable for everyone. Imagine having the Archfiend set from first season with blue or green bits instead of red as example for high end reward.

It's been a while for me to confirm, but I'm fairly sure you don't go back to Unranked even after the 2 automatic tier drops at the start of each season. And even if you did, you only need to win a few games (no star penalties for losing) to get into Bronze. There is no 'grinding' required for Bronze unless you are intentionally queueing with only 2 buttons on your PvP hotbar, auto-running into walls and are entirely banking on being carried.

You can make an argument for needing to "grind" to get into Silver, but even that's not saying much. To me, it is less about invalidating anyone and more about neither encouraging effort or any prolonged participation by letting people sit at Bronze every season (by not deranking to Unranked) and getting rewarded for it.

Oh my god I swear. ;-; When I suggested this people called me things, in fact it was the single thing I expected them to do - one cool set ensured for casuals, one or two recolours for ranked.

Two seasons per series, Archfiend green with gold trims and Archfiend blue with silver/purple trim maybe as an example.

Just for confirmation, yes, you do get demoted to unranked if you don't play for 2 seasons. But it's not exactly difficult to win the games needed to get back into bronze.

Ok sure... I see your point, but back then in ranked feast, before you hit bronze, you don't lose Any point when losing. So, l still don't see how give fraction of a weapon to a bronze player has any issue. Ok, maybe at least silver So it takes more effort, but putting it behind diamond is a bad idea because people will use "alternative method" to get it just like ultimate's totems.
You know what? I already got what l wanted. I am not touching ranked again until some new rewards in future Or If such change occurs. The stress is just not worth it.
