A request for this additional feature to the crafting system

So to other fellow crafters here, what do you all think of a Quick Synthesis + the Macro System built in?

Basically you choose the Macros you want for Quick Synthesis and that is basically it. Macro System in this game is very useful, and I hope something like this can be extended to Quick Synthesis.

This would cut down on a lot of crafting time, and let players get to do other things in the game than sitting around looking at a screen all day.

Of course Quick Synthesis will still have the HQ rng at play if the Quality values lean toward Normal or HQ depending what values were calculated, so there is no avoiding that.

First, nobody is forcing anybody to play or play a crafter. Second, sitting/looking at a screen is what we call gaming and applies to all of us crafters and raiders alike. Third, don't do anything you like all day... it's a sure fire way to turn a hobby or a game into a job.

Moderation. Play to have fun. Yoshida-san is always encouraging us to play other games and balance our gameplay so that we don't become a burnt out frustrated bunch of zombies.

saying 1st, 2nd, 3rd is not proper way to express your opinion, maybe you were not trying to be rude, but that can be seen as rude.

Also I'm in disagreement how we both feel about crafting, will leave it at that.

Also you seem to have twisted my words around with your "third", I'm sure there is crafters that don't mind banging with a hammer all day that is fine if they find that fun, I'm only expressing a need that can help get things out more faster with HQ if you want to do other things with your time.

quick synthesis was never meant to allow you to have an auto way to pump hq items or essentially afk craft to level up. If you haven't noticed quick synthesis gives you the bare minimum. Besides you can accomplish that with the in game macro system in what you are asking.

That's two edits to your response. I'm gonna assume that's the last for a bit.

I'm sorry if I came across rude, that was just my poor way of expressing myself. In your second edit you repeat the idea that you and others are not free to choose to simply NOT craft. If you wish to "do other things with your time" then do it. When you imply that you aren't at liberty to "do other things" because of the way the crafting system was designed, this is how I imagine Yoshida-san reacting:

If that was the dev's intention then that is fine.

I actually was thinking about an idea where you have built in "macros" to the crafting system, call them "patterns" or "blueprints" or something
Where you can build a set of instructions to follow for quick synthesis or whatever. I'm not sure how doable or balanced that would be though.
Would at least be nice for practice synthesis to let you go back if you screw up, and maybe show you a list of the actions you've done in the synthesis or something. Simulation sites like teamcraft are cool and all but it would be nice to just have that sort of functionality ingame to not have to rely on a website.

Honestly I'd prefer it if all macros were removed. Everything is automated now and thus the value of everything drops as it's mass produced now. It will probably always stay as it is.

If you don't enjoy crafting, don't waste time on it. Play the rest of the game instead.

That is far too automated IMO.

There is also a reason why the game doesn't allow you to call to another macro within another macro, e.g.,

/ac Gibberish Macro <wait.3>
/execute macro #93

Far too automated much like doing a macro quick synthesis, and frankly people should be encouraged to interact with the system, not sit there and quicksynth macros. - All macros created anyway are factored in with normal (non-good/excellent conditions) in order to guarantee quality. - Nobody is making a macro and going "Let's pretend a 'Good' condition proc'd on Byregot's Blessing to complete quality"

Further to this, it would have pretty big implication for consumables, especially in current recipes.

If they're to go this far with a system, then they may as well remove quality and progress entirely, and just hinge everything on being an experience as empty as IS crafting and gathering, and then just hinge everything on whether you do or do not reach a particular stat.

Yes, but unfortunately, that would make for insanely high gap between fair players and players who use widely available cheats like Mastercraft. This could be obviously fixed if SE actually did care about boters, but here we are, with bots running rampart everywhere and SE doesn't seem to mind them much, as long as they're not dumb and craft at 4AM in public area.
