Gender seems to affect the Free Company invites

My female Miqo'te received far more invites than my male Hyur despite me not playing any differently between characters. It's odd.

Creepy hypersexual playerbase treats female characters different than male characters

In other news, the sky is blue and the water is wet (cue the reddit "well akshually water isnt wet" bot)

only solution is to delete females and make this a male utopia

When I was a bunny boy I got way more invites than my bunny girl, but before as I played an au ra girl oh boy……tops them all

Male hyurs will never beat the boring allegations.

If a player suspects they are only getting an invited because of their perceived gender, it is probably best to find another FC.

I don't think Gender affects FC invitations. I do absolutely believe it does impact the amount of /tells you get, RP invitations, random friend requests, and other miscellaneous things within that like-minded field though.

Walk around Ul'dah on Balmung and you'll get all kinds of invites, regardless of gender......I dont recommend it though.

I never get anything and that's perfect.

I don't recommend walking around any of the cities, unless absolutely necessary, due to the amount of spam everywhere.

I will admit every time I run into people that create a twitter account for their XIV character it's....interesting to say the least. It's as though they wanted an OnlyFans account and had to settle lol.

Tbf, its not just about the looks, emotes and stuff are kinda more pleasant as well.

Also one can just make an FC to stop FC invites. That's what I did when I was tossed like...5 blind invites in like 20 minutes. It was annoying.

I thought so, too.

Played the 'boring' male hyur since I started out. My sprout days and FCless days gets at least 2-3 FC invites each day. Then again that's probably because I regularly walk around in major cities.

I personally don't see any difference in the number of invites I get from FC's across my alts. Perhaps your miqote is just more eye-catching than your hyur, which leads them to notice that she is not in an FC.

Ofc, I wouldn't be surprised if there were FC's just targetting female characters considering the community we're in.

Same. My bun boy got so many invites, but out of all my alts I think my lala got the most. She also received some really, really, reaaaaally creepy tells. It really made me feel bad for the lala playerbase.

Well, that depends. On Dynamis people tend to take whatever they can get but the general preference tends to be for sprouts of any kind. Sprouts are probably the most efficient way of getting FC members that can farm for credits, since they have the ability to quickly rack up a lot of achievements just by playing the MSQ casually.

I mean it's not as if veteran players couldn't do the same(especially with GC turn-ins), but it's easier to send a FC invite to every sprout in sight than to bother trying to sell your FC to someone who has actually been playing a while while also hoping that said veteran is going to be doing something that will build those credits up.

Even though sprouts benefit a lot it's still hard to not see it as at least a tiny bit predatory.

There are still empty lots in my ward in Shirogane, including one next door to me.

I'm enoying being a tall noodle man. The only time I get any attention is from other Duskwights who are happy to see another one of us because we seem to be an endangered species.
