New DNC weapon needs to be redone.

The model is flat and small. The fabric pieces do not move. It is a disappointment when compared to some of the other weapons. It needs to be redone, period.

I thought the dragoon spear looked a bit short in the preview, it feels awfully stubby compared to other lances.

I don't really like any of them, to be honest. That's fine I still have a collection I do like.

Edit: Bard one is cute, only one I kinda like sadly.

sam weapon is p bad too. oversized and the second sword clips into any top that extends past the waist.

No ribbons or tassels on weapons or gear actually move.

The problem is often not with the contest design, but with how SE translates those designs into 3D models.


I remember a lot of the contest hairstyles also looking very jank compared to their art.

Remember, no expenses spared and they have 10 years of content planned while the engine cant even support dangly bits on weapons.

I hate when spears have "cloth/featers" dangling off them because there are no cloth physics. It just makes them look like there's a crusty sock pinned on them.

The irony here is probably lost on you, but I find it amusing.

I was disappointed too with how flat it looked so I don’t know if Ill use it or not…Probably the worst one they did in comparison with the others.
Im not bashing the artists just to clear that up, I think they did a great job but the execution on SE’s part was a bit underwhelming with some of the weapons.

Out of all, I love the whm one but Im biased because bunny, and bard one because trees.

Blm is super cool but I can’t play classes that require me to stand in one place for too long ;__;.

Reaper one looks great, quite classic. Warrior is a bit over the top comical…
As often with the books, details will only be noticeable once you zoom in properly...
