the sad state of pvp

why do people feel the need to play the blame game when the team is losing?
Im over here having fun harassing the red node as a samurai and this dummy accuses me of throwing lol

learn how to have fun, holy crap! its like the concept of playing a game is not to have fun anymore, whats gotten into these people?!

People desperate for wins like to blame everything but themselves when their team isn't winning. Spin a roulette wheel and pick an excuse as to why your team is losing. Unfortunately their roulette wheel landed on "Blame random Samurai."

People like that exist soley for my entertainment. They are very easily annoyed into not queing into the next game, even better when they're toxic enough to earn themselves a support ticket.

Aside from the few known ragers in Ranked, it's kinda funny how many are in Casual in comparison. Often times they also bottom the scoreboard while spamming the whole game.

I'm honestly surprised they would take CC that seriously considering how absolutely horrible the servers are. Eventually skill must only get you so far when the servers are as unresponsive as they are. But "Target to be Ignored" will probably be thrown out all willy nilly as usual.

Dying four times as PLD is excessive. That alone costs you a minute of LB charge, meaning you only get to have one Phalanx per match without overtime.

To be fair the whole team had the same amount of death plus he did 2nd most dmg so this ain't on him

I have plenty of matches where most of my team has multiple deaths and I have zero. 1 or 2 deaths is understandable. 4+ is entirely the fault of the player.

I'm open minded but skeptical about your claim but on a more important note is did you win? If not then that leads credence to his post, also based on your post it seemed that you implied that match was lost due to him ,when if you look you'll see his team wasn't really pulling their weight regardless of the amount of deaths he incurred

So do I, and you're attempting to blame one person with 4 deaths when the whole team had that many (and none of theirs were Cover deaths). If you were actually matched with those teams, you'd realize how inevitable it is to get ganged up on, Crystal or no, when your teammates perpetually die one-by-one because they're all splitting up and attacking different people. Some of those matches from when that image was taken also had a troll WAR that kept suiciding and a healer that logged out right at the start, among other interesting characters.

That bottom image only ended up as a win because of a freak random C9 involving everyone but the PLD. Certainly cannot count on that happening based on this sample size.

Why are you in a 5v1 to begin with? If you see the fight is lost you should be falling back (we have death sound effects and a UI pop up for a reason). Stop being stubborn and just fall back. Running away is better than respawning. You can't control the idiots running in one by one, but that doesn't mean you have to do the same. Utilize the quick chat the best you can and do what you got to do, but staying alive isn't hard in CC.

Duuude, it was 5v1 because everyone split up and got picked off, and the domino effect continues with everyone on the opposing team converging on your location from multiple directions. It's a bit weird for someone who's complained about the crowd control in this mode to imply you can just waltz away from that scenario.

Running away also doesn't change the outcome whatsoever when your team has no intention of grouping up and pushing the crystal to begin with. You might as well /beesknees on the spawn point if your own deaths matter to you that much. After all, you "can't carry every match." In fact, you can't carry any of them so long as the opposing team remains competent.

My Quick Chat + markers (and the death sounds) just go ignored most of the time, and the extent of their Quick Chat usage is a couple "Hellos" at the start. Evidently, the people I was matched with merely had a diminished intention of focus firing, much less staying alive.

CC ist just: running in fight, die bcause its unbalanced crap , everyone jumping arround like on drugs, tab targeting is bad and then start over again. its not a single bit joy

That’s an easy answer:
Ranked:
-People atleast know the fundamentals
-People know how to play their classes somewhat
-People know what guard, recuperate, elixir and sprint are
-People actually using the above abilities appropriately
-People want to win so they try

Unranked:
-People don’t know the fundamentals
-People don’t know how to play their class
-People don’t know about guard, recuperate, elixir, sprint
-People don’t know how to use them appropriately
-People don’t care about winning so they throw their bodies 1 at a time to stop crystal push (see what I did there?)

There’s many other things too. But in general, in any pvp mode, casual or not, the goal is to win. With the garbage matchmaking system, you get lopsided games instead of quality games in casual.

How do you get accused of throwing when you can't talk in CC?

Probably in game after the match. There are some real creepers these days who don't fear the harassment clause. I got text bombed by some weirdo after a casual match where I was practicing DRK.

The unfortunate part is that SE doesn't really care. We've seen them say "more people are playing pvp now" though the only reason is because people want the item unlocks.

I definitely don't condone people finding others after a match to harass them, but for those wanting to play PVP, I can see their frustration. They want to play a game mode in which there's a chunk of people only queuing for free EXP or PVP levels for this season's gear unlocks. You get thrown into a random queue with random players who could be any class and any experience level, so in the end, it doesn't matter how good you are, it's just watching to see if your team is throwing, or in the Frontlines, watching if the other losing team is going to go out of their way to make sure another team can't play either.

I do wish that SE would pay attention more to this aspect of the game, but it's pretty clear they won't do anything too substantial and then offer everyone some shiny item which will get them all to play for it, then claim their little effort to make changes were a success :(. I'm not sure the answer either, as if you don't give any items, no one will play, but if you give items, people will just toss the game to get their items (and they're pretty open in alliance chat in FL that they are just queuing to get free items). I'd say the optimal route would be actual matchmaking and winning as proper ways to get items, but I don't see these devs wanting to put that much effort, and that may hurt queue times too. Some matchmaking balancing is definitely needed though.

Edit: I also notice travelers coming in from other servers to Crystal. I know the rep isn't that great for the DC, so im curious if people come to this DC as well for that which is kind of not exactly balanced.

There will never be a solution to PvP in this game, and if there was its certainly not coming out of these forums. They'll never give pvp the resources it needs to realize its true potential.

I think that the forums put more thought into this than the actual devs, so maybe the forums would find an answer. I doubt that resources will ever go there, but if people voice up, maybe there's just a small chance they do something. It's better than hearing the "success" of PVP now that people play it for free items.

We can only hope they can spend bit more effort to PvP side of things once 7.0 hits.

They are trying as we can see with the drip feed of content:
-Augmented Hellhound weapons
-Rework of Shatter
-The few Series rewards that aren't awful
-Reworks of old Raid sets
-Skill number changes

But it seems like the stuff is mostly worked by skeleton crew and Series rewards are just a dump for some mount and armor ideas in each bigger patch.

I'm not sure what kind of feedback they are getting from their JP playerbase, but apparently their PvP including Ranked is a lot more active, so most of our grievances get sidelined as they don't really see the dire situation something like Rival Wings or Ranked CC are in.

I maybe annoying with some of my posts but I just want to play PvP between downtime in other content and have good time with other players.

They could fix Rival Wings by simply making a Daily Challenge roulette, such as Frontline.
That would make the mode PEAK in activity if it gave daily rewards just like Frontline. I really don't know why they haven't done that yet, it is quite beyond me.

It's hard to even say if the PvP dev team, (If it even exists?) listen to any feedback anyway. Lots of changes are just completely nonsensical. RW deserves a roulette, and Astragalos needs to be put back in rotation.
