After patch 6.4 we need Golbez redemption arc

well, he did redeemed himself in the original game and in the After Years but Im curious if they're gonna keep that part in his character. Although I have a feeling that this upcoming patch will most likely be the whole end of the 13th shard story arc and the ending we'll start to see what 7.0 will be about. Either that but by 6.5 definitely.

Someone just wants to see Valvalis again.

And yes to me she is Valvalis, a word I can spell lol.

He's a villain and it's FFXIV, of course he'll be redeemed somehow. Just wait for the one patch complete reversal with sad music and tragic backstory that reveals the REAL villain! MWA HA HA!! (I wish I was joking)

Turns out he was just controlled by the Primalists and we have to journey to Meracydia; accompanied by Vtra and Azdaja to the ancient land of dragons and help out each of the Aspects to.......hey wait a minute...

I ended up reading about the original character. My guess is:

He comes to realize he was an Ascian pawn, made to believe that he would benefit from a Rejoining just for us to let him know what a Rejoining would have actually done.

We find a way to get him hooked up with the newly formed Warriors of Light team on the First and they all work together to find a way to restore both reflections by trading off their excess Light/Shadow. Zero's restoration from Hydaelyn's crystal shows that exposure to Light can restore the voidsent so no reason to think the reverse isn't also true.

Will it involve Zeromus coming into existence?

Rubicante was the most noble of the four fiends, and already redeemed from my PoV. He would have made an awesome Scion under different circumstances.

We'll have to see where they take Golbez. I know there is going to be a twist here. Whether there is a Zeromus, being controlled by Azdaja, or possibly Azem's shard are my guesses.

I having done the last patch, so if this was already revealed true or false..I dunno…buuut

I am convinced Golbez is just a homunculus controlled by Azdaja. That is absolutely her eye in that funky ball of a head.

Who knows, maybe he'll be the one who gets to just die without any lame sob story bastardization. Probably not, though.
Wouldn't be the first, but it's been a while.

Btw, there are two yellow side quests in Radz-at-Han that give some background information on the archfiends and their interactions with Golbez:
Shadowed Pasts And Shadowed Pasts Once more. You also get an orchestrion at the end.

We will most likely not be done with the 13th after this story line is over.

Once you do the Eden raids AND the Shadowbringer Role quests AND finish the 6.3 MSQ go back to the First and speak to Cyella (the waitress) in the bar, I think the Triad trials may be required too.

Golbez becomes a bodybuilder on Eorzea, changes name to Swolbez.
