Do Tank/Healer LB1 and LB2 need an overhaul?

I constantly use dps LB1 and 2 in dungeons no matter what dps I am, however I've never seen anyone use healer and tank LB unless it's for memes. Is there a way to make them somewhat usefull?

Personally I wished that healer LB was always a party wide raise, but limited based on tier (LB3 revives 8 party members, LB2 revives 4, LB1 revives 2).

Idk what I would do with tank LB tho.

Tank LB 1 and 2 are used at times. I will also use them in dungeons occasionally if no ranged pops it on a pull. Healer LB 1 and 2 I havent heard being used like ever.

Even if 1LB always raised everyone no one would use it anyways. Dps and damage reigns king over all by design of SE by a multiple magnitudes. Only way to make the more useful is to add dps to them in some way. Healer and tank LB are only used when absolutely required.

Tank LB1-2 is sometimes used in BA when somebody messes up Meteor positioning, such as dropping it in the middle of platform, and the LB is used in an attempt to salvage things, frankly the issue is that Tank LB is just a damage mitigation, even LB3 is just a mit but it's a very large mit and also it looks flashy, so to even use correctly it needs coordination, thus mandatory Tank LB sequences, and even with coordination people would always favor not using it if they can get away with not using it cuz it can then be used for damage, and the biggest damage mitigation in the game is the boss being dead, thus, again, mandatory Tank LB sequences.

The only way to truly fix it would be to make it like PvP and make the LB gauge a personal resource, but that'd mess up every fight that currently has a mandatory Tank LB3 sequence.

The least they could do is provide tanks with more opportunities to use their LBs. As it stands now, there are what, like four fights in the entire game that call for it? Five?

They could reconfigure the LB3 to be the same no matter the role with the personal LBs having the differences, but then they would need to determine what makes the personal gauge increase and how powerful should it be.

I like the heal LB idea. If an LB1 brought back 2 dead people without the weakness debuff hindering their damage/dots for the next 100 seconds, then I think it could actually be really underrated. People might dismiss it for not doing immediate damage, but consider the damage lost by ressing those 2 people manually and then having them basically be gimped for 100 seconds, compared to ressing them instantly and having them be back at full capacity and dealing their normal output. Now compare that difference to the total nothingburger that is a dps lb1. It'd obviously only have niche uses in "oh, everybody's dead" dungeon situations, but at least it'd see some use in bad groups that need the extra help by effectively eliminating the downside of death.

Yeah like, Healer LB2 heals 60% HP of everyone after 2 seconds of cast time, like, why wouldn't I use an AoE heal instead? It's so bad and useless.

The Limit Break system as a whole could use a revamp honestly.

I think that if earlier tank LBs simply lasted longer they would be useful. It's not worth using most of the time when a tank's own raid-wide mitigation, Reprisal or healer shields achieves a similar effect, but if they would absorb damage over a long period of time it could be a significant enough advantage to use it in some fights. They could also be 80% and 160% shields instead that expire after 30 seconds or when fully absorbed.

Limit break in general needs to be reworked, frankly.

I think I’ve used healer LB 1 or 2 once whenwe almost had the end bodd down and needed a big heal in a 4 man dungeon.

My WHM AOE heals at 90 are more powerful than the LB1 or 2. They need a complete rework, not an overhaul.

I’d rather that the healer LBs perform AOE rezzes
1 - standard Rez with weakness
2 - enhanced Rez with half health and mana
3 - what it is now

100% yes they do, they're essentially worthless.

Which is why I personally LOVED the Ungarmax bug. It at least gave tanks/healers the ability to support their allies instead of never, ever using their limit break 1/2's

iv used tank lb2 in ucob before, but really theres little to no benefit for them.

tank lb2 can be a last minute oh shit button, but for healers theres nothing for lb1 and 2

Just leave it as it is, it can be used as a last resort move in some situations and honestly, no damage needed to be added.

Why would we use LB1 or 2 as healer ?
Most of the time, we don't even have to use our regular healing spells (you know, the ones that need to be casted).

It would be too powerfull on 1 and 2, not that I am against the idea, but naah...

I once used healer LB2 back in ARR at the last boss in Aurum Vale. I was out of mana and everyone was down to 20% health and the next AoE attack was incomming...

Yes, an overhaul of the whole system is needed.

healer lb1 and 2 are so utterly useless it's actually just miserable.

especially lb1. it's like a slower medica 1. horray?

There are a few instances where things go south yet you only have LB2.

lb1 or 2 that can rezz would mean some mechanics can be skipped in raid content, a pld could cover a healer and the healer can lb1 to get everyone back, and then you see a lot of the fight before you were supposed to... I know it would be nice for normal dungeons or raids, but for progressing and world first race, would probably be bad

I think heal lb1 could be something like 50% HP heal+regen effect
heal lb 2 100% heal + regen + haste buff for grp, maybe ending up as the better dmg lb2, because it sucks that melees have to interrupt their rotation for 'just' lb2, let healers do it because they are support anyway...

I actually use tank lb1 and 2 not as rarely as some people might think here. If you look out for situations where its useful you will find them and thats why I think they are fine. Most grps prefer to wipe instead of thinking about using it...

The fact you will almost never get to see your lb 3 unless you're a melee dps is kinda sad

obviously potencies would have to be adjusted but ye

Imagine how freaking crazy burst windows would be with every single character LBing at the same time.

Just like Tank LB 3, healer and tank LB 1 & 2 are pointless compared to DPS as someone said because SE designed the game this way.
Yes you can find some very niche uses for them, but it’s so few instances it’s ridiculous.

As it stands, so long as they don’t revamp/find ways to make them more interesting to use VS pure raw burst damage. They will always get shafted for DPS LBs

Tanks could get a duration buff (10/15/8 to 15/20/25) to help them realistically mitigate more than just a single mechanic or raid-wide attack. This also doesn't restrict LB3 to its required uses and makes it harder to botch. Currently, all three of these have gimmicky uses to save people, and not in most high-end content, whereas these buffs factor in the sacrificed damage from a DPS LB. While LB1 could also benefit from a mitigation buff, giving it a better chance to save people on its own, it's already consistent with LB2/3, which work fine enough.

At the very least, Healer LB1/2 should have a healing percentage buff (25/60 to 40/70) and restore MP by the same amount. LB3 should also restore MP to living party members (it's almost better to die and get revived). The regen/barrier ideas for LB1/2 are nice, potentially working differently with different healers. Allowing them to revive party members would help in giving them more use, and likely wouldn't incentivize raid mechanics as you're limited on uses and still have to deal with enrages, but it would still be hard to balance. They wouldn't be as powerful if they revived people with Brink of Death/Weakness, but that could lead to griefing in Alliance Raids.

Bit more than Potencies, some LBs would need to be redone entirely.

DRK would effectively be given a 2nd invul, while WAR's PVP LB would more or less be another charge of Fell Cleave and Thrill of Battle and 20% more movement speed.
While I would personally running around stupid fast as a tank, I don't think either of these things are ideal.
