Ifrit extreme mode yay

that was uncalled lol. The day of thunderspam is over ? (at least in extreme)

I realize there just future proofing the requirements but

25,000 seals to raise from Chief Sergeant to Second Lieutenant? After we've had eight straight promotions that add 500 seals to the total? They're joking, right?

The Ifrit thing is kinda meh, though. Sure, recycling an old battle for the sole purpose of fluffing up the relic quest is finally something skill-based instead of luck-based... but it's still just recycling an old battle for the sole purpose of fluffing up a relic quest.

Wow didn't expect to have all this in 1.22c... and Ifirt Extreme.. uh...... hmmmmm. GO YOSHI-P

Edit: This will get people to do United we stand... dang like nobody on my server wants to do it :p.

Rolling out the time sinks before 2.0 to try and keep us occupied. 1.23 is probably going to have alot more time sinks just to keep us busy so they can put all their focus on 2.0

EDIT: Also, Since no new weapons/items were added, what would the reward for extreme ifrit be? more xp, guaranteed totem drop, and an achievement? Or a requirement for relic lol.

Yea that's a bit of a hike in price. but these days 25k seals is sort of easy to come by with the high end chocobo escort's

25k seals is not really a time sink... that's about 25-30 caravan runs, which is like 5-6hours.

I hope the new GC gear is worth those 25k seals though.

edit: I wonder if Ifrit extreme will have a higher drop rate on weapons... fast seal farming :D

Not really, Ifrit is pretty mucha kitten compared to Garuda so it's only natural they'd want to add a new challenge to Ifrit, which means he may have stronger moves and hit harder. So yaaa have fun with that lol I can't wait to hear people complaining about how to much skill is required for Ifrit Extreme.

It's already in the patch notes, it's a step for relics

still a bit much for the promotion. hopefully the prices for gc gears aren't increased like this, too...

even though you can join any caravan now i never see random groups do them on my server during non japanese times.

That was my first impression, too. They made relic about hamlet so we'd spam that enough to make it worth their time and money to develop it - but then the work to payoff ratio of relic is kind of meh aside from the "LOOK AT ME, I'VE GOT A RELIC" e-peen... so a lot of people just didn't want to bother...

And now the next GC rank costs the same as step one of relic -- as if to say, "Well, I know you didn't want to go for it... but now that you have the 25k why don't you spend it on the book, instead!?"

the time sink is the 25k to lvl plus the seals needed to buy the weapon. Also, im pretty sure he was referring to all the times sinks in general not just the 25k seal item.

if you still d/c then it your issue i never D/C in this game the only time i do is internet went out or power went out and seeing how that happen a lot in FL i don't count that one as a real d.c

So ifrit extreme requires you to have started the quest. to start the quest you'll need the 25K seal item (and now we need another 25K seals to get last rank) and the 9 hamlet seals. They said they did add new factions for new drops and new drops to existing behests. I hope they added hamlet seals and that is what theyre talking about. hamlet is killing me repeating for maybe 1 seal for a random person in the group lol >.< especially when it requires such a specific setupish

New rewards for Behest/Caravan...... I'm sensing a theme here, recycling
New GC quest/rank/items........ 25k seals again >< back to grinding
I expect more people to use the Recruit menu now but I could be kidding myself

oh wait. So you have to do every content in game to have relics lol. Hamlet Behest AV CC Carvan Darkhold and Ifrit then we gonna have moogle extreme and garuda extreme lol.

this spells no relic for me. just do not have the time. I'm ok with that.

pretty sure they wont add hamlet seals to faction leves,lol

seems alot of people are upset that they wont have all the quest done in one day.

Relic quest is just.
