Incoming emergency maintenance for this one I hope? :-)

imagine fucking up a !!!24 hour!!! maintenance

Small indie company please understand, they didnt have enough time

Honestly I'm more impressed than mad lol

what happened?

It seems Crystal DC is the only one affected? My buddies on Primal say everything is fine.

Today's maintenance deleted all linkshells and crossworld linkshells.

Our regular LS survived, but all the CWLS are dead.

Possible that it's linked to when the LS/CWLS was created? But I haven't heard of anyone with a 'partially deleted' result, so...

Fellowships seems to have been affected as well, but not all. The list still shows some, but the one I was in got deleted.

All my linkshells are still there and in the right place, but all my crossworld linkshells are gone. Tried restarting and they're still gone.

the lodestone pages for the CWLSes are still up, so I don't think they were actually deleted. Definitely not visible, but possibly still existent in some form. Last time a CWLS was actually deleted, I noticed the lodestone page for it 404'd within minutes. So, there's that glimmer of hope at least.

Yeah I just checked my profile and it shows my CWLs there, though I know for a fact the website updates the info very slowly (sometimes it can take up to 1 hour I feel). Kinda funny how Crystal DC got affected lol

only for NA DC btw
everywhere else is fine

My EU crosslinks are there haven't worked my way to NA yet. Will update when i do. Japan and Materia are fine too... looking forward to NA :).

Edit: My crosslink is working on Hali on Dynamis.

Edit 2: Crosslinks gone on Crystal... interesting cause they are working on Dynamis.

it isn't even three in the PST, yet all this, while having finished my tribe quests..,

Least everything else seems fine.

I don't know how they managed this. They had a 24 hour maintenance for what seemed like very little changes, and instead of everything going super smoothly, this happened instead?

I'm seriously trying to be fair. I know there's some people that just want to rip on the game just to rip on it but how do you even defend this?

One thing for sure, if anyone here has DC level knowledge when changing hardware..,
I doubt they'd spend there time here.
Let alone be up rn and handily tell us the possibilities of this happening/being expected.

I put a post in the in-game bugs section. Hopefully they see it soon and schedule a hotfix for it. You're all welcome to post there as well. I have friends on Aether who still have their CWLS, so it seems to possibly only be Crystal that is affected.

My crosslinks are working fine on Aether too. I can't speak for Primal but Dynamis and Aether are fine. Hopefully they can fix that without a downtime.

Maybe they should've used that one extra hour to make sure this wouldn't happen lol

Cause they were somehow supposed to know that they'd accidentally break Linkshells.

Major server switch over and if the only bug we get is Crystal DC linkshells not working I'd say that's pretty amazing. I suspect there will be other bugs and hotfixes incoming.

SE is not a small indie company. Besides I can't see any changes that took them 24 hours to do and still end up not doing it wrong.

The amount of data, caused by the Balmung Quicksand chat is so huge, that the chat server runs out of ressources before it can establish the CWLS system.

any get the linkshells back, or notice any change/predictions when it will be back.

Man I was chill about this from page 1 but even then it's not hard to see why people would panic about this when they log in and every linkshell is purged with no word from square for hours after the fact. It's a real easy mode lukewarm take to come in after things are announced and on their way to a resolution to pretend like you knew things would turn out fine. Especially rich coming from someone who wasn't even on the affected DC.

I knew the moment I made this thread, there will be some people getting riled up about such small issue lol, I found this whole thing to be pretty funny
