Just finished some quests but F5 did nothing. I'm worried if I exit the game my progress can't be saved and I clicked everywhere but I didn't find anything that can save my game? How do I save?

Try Alt + F4.
Everything you do in this MMO its saved in its servers. You dont need save like other games, not going to lose your progress.
FFXIV isn't a cartridge-based game, so there is no built-in battery back-up. You'll need to purchase a separate memory card for saving data.
There's actually a neat easter egg during Gaius Baelsar's speech in Praetorium, where he'll make special comments if the game detects save files from other Square Enix titles. "Ah, I see you too enjoy Kingdom Hearts," that sort of thing.
Type "Save Game" you will then recive a 20 word long passord. Write this down,
then next time you log in, you type "Load Game" followed with your password code"
um um be nice Chloe be nice....
its a mmo.. it doesnt need a save....
your characters data isnt even on your computer its on their database which is why you cant just go into a file in your game for your character and edit it to give yourself 9999 of all stats
When I was first playing Everquest 1, back when it launched, it would tell you, every so often that your data has been saved. I remember me and a few other people were trying to figure out how to save to finally figure out that the game was auto saving.
At least we all know that you quicksaved on one thing, stupidity and boring forum trolling
Wait until you find a strange glowing thing that has an S on it.
I'm sorry... I'm dumb but the fact this was even asked and made into a forum topic makes me feel sad that people are either that dumb or
sorry, but you have to pay $6.9, then you can save for 100 times
up up down down left right left right B A Start. Actually has to be done with a start button. So better get going on finding a controller the game will recognize that has an actual start button on it.
//godmode on
//rng roll lock 99
You're welcome OP~! :^D
"So, Champion of Eorzea! You enjoy playing Leisure Suit Larry? Hmph! King's Quest was the far superior Sierra Arts game!
And, what's this? House Party?! ... I'm just going to leave. This land of savages truly is lost."
I've never played a Leisure Suit Larry. Sold a few...never played though. I should change that.
He ran away in terror when he found I still have E.T. for the Atari 2600...
I expected a better troll from Reaver
Cool bit of trivia, EQ1 used an interval to save your data (it worked even if you DC'd as your "character" was still in memory). However, if the server was brought down (or crashed in rare cases) everything you did during the interval (experience, items acquired, money acquired) got rolled back. However, item transfer caused a forced saved. IE, trade an item or some money to a friend and both your character's states got saved. So when the server was coming down for maintenance, trade someone a copper piece to insure you don't get rolled back if you decided to keep leveling right up to the last minute.
Are we back in the early 2000s?
your consantly saving every moment your in game, since this is an MMORPG everything you do will be saved for the next time you log in.
