Finally! D: patch 1.22c! yay!
I hope they fix all those "Unable to detect DirectX device" crashes us people with GTX680s keep getting.
Finally? I didn't excpect it until July lol. What did they say would be in it?
patch notes is not out yet
Sweet :D That sure came out fast! o.o
Just goes to show... THEY MEAN IT WHEN THEY SAY:
"Were on time with 2.0 launch" is how I'm translating it :P.
ps: Caps means no harm ^^.
I wonder if its another hefty patch like 1.22b was... ( Probably not :P) I will be happy if it does!
(I just clean out my computer and its not coughing alot because of the dust) Purring like a baby just like when I first built it ^.^
Hmmm, I'm pretty interested to see what we get. I am more interested, however, in patch 1.23. We know next to nothing about what is going to be in 1.23, but given how long it will have been between patch 1.22 and patch 1.23, it should be a monster. If we look at precedent, 1.22c coming out tomorrow means we will see patch 1.23 about one month from now (give or take). That's a little behind the PDF schedule, but not horrifically so.
On topic though, it will be nice to see what they have for us tomorrow. I'm hoping for a few mechanical tweaks, probably a dash of job balancing with a larger focus on bug stomping.
I have a distinct feeling this won't be anything big.
Maybe the Relic Quest will be completable, but that's about it.
I hope I'm wrong though.
I hope we get to see our next event. We haven't had one in a while! :(
I'm pretty sure we'll get to be promoted to at least one rank higher with Grand Companies and that Lieutenant weapons and armor that are already in the .dats (and viewable on Mooglebox and Mozk) will be available.
As for the rest, we'll see.
Things appear to be moving at full force lately. Look forward to reading the patch notes.
1.22c changelog:
Relic weapon quest now requires triple melded class weapon instead of double melded one.
Chance of flame seal, tremor seal, vortex seal, mythril ore and mythril salts being dropped is drastically reduced.
Yukataaaaaaaa..... (I want mah goldfishes too!)

heres to hoping for Lieutenant rank!
Hells yeah! Uldahn Officers Boots, here I come! :P
1.22a and 1.22b were big patches. In an E3 interview Yoshida suggested that a lot of development staff had moved on to 2.0, but the people still working on 1.xx had a lot of things they really wanted to implement, so they pushed some of that content to the lettered patches. Nevertheless, I think we should keep our expectations low with this one. While I'm hoping that we get a couple of surprises, very little has been said about 1.22c, so it sounds like this will be a small patch.
I'm really excited for 1.23 in July, because sometime over the course of 1.23 and its lettered versions we should see the climax of the seventh umbral era storyline. The original 2.0 PDFs say the following:
When I read that last October, I thought "the coming months" meant that we'd first see the geological anomaly early in 2012. All I can say now is that my body is ready. Bring it on!Quote:
One day, a massive geological anomaly suddenly appears from deep within the ground. Current players will have the opportunity to unlock the mysteries surrounding this strange, new landmark in the coming months.
Don't forget about Dalamud.. It's getting closer (bigger) o.o
Yet again, it's 10pm-2AM my time.
It's like they don't even want me to play. :(
They seem to have made it a policy to take the servers down and start patching at about 6:00 AM Japan time. I'm guessing this is because, if they have a problem and the patching process takes a long time, it ends up running through the day rather than overnight. People will be more awake and alert, and there will be other staff there to assist them if necessary. Also, the whole staff is there when the servers come back online, so they can respond more quickly to any critical errors or bugs that pop up once the patch is live.
I'm in the eastern U.S., so while the patch times are kind of inconvenient, it's worse for those of you in the U.K. It would be nice for us if they staggered patch times, but I understand why they do it when they do.
On another note, I thought we were supposed to get another producer's letter after E3 ? I figured it would have been before 1.22c , unless we get it tomorrow morning.
Either way, I'll stant by my point about the Lieutenant rank and items… can't wait to get my hands on some on those, since I seem to get zero luck with primal weapons while farming seals is something I can do on my own. ^^

---- Small insight as to whats in 1.22c, I'm happy but I really hope people start using these systems and not just shrugging them aside.
Patches always seem to be on my days off, it's annoying but I don't really see a point in complaining about it, it only happens like once or twice a month.
hope this patch fixes all the crash errors from tabbing out
Fingers crossed that tomorrow I'll finally be on Ragnarok . . . >_< haha.
I'm looking forward to what stuff they're going to implement tomorrow!♪
