"clear DSR before you talk to me"

So recently two streamers got into a spat
one of the first insults being hurled around was "clear dsr before you talk"
and the explanation afterwards was that the streamer was bad at the game
even though said streamer never attempted high end content and has no interest in raiding.

How come this is such a common way to insult people? most people can't clear DSR, most people don't engage in raiding because the raiding community is toxic like this.

You just cherrypicked one insult and made your bait thread out of it because we didn't have enough gratuitous drama yet.

Nothing to do with the raiding community and everything to do with insecure people who think they become a big deal for clearing content in a game AND get their low self esteem high by putting down others.

Yo where did this trend come from to post every crumb of streamer drama immediately to the forums? Did you get banned from your favorite streamers so you have no where else to post?

Imagine having such a fragile, glass ego that you actually attach part of your personality on the fact of whether you have or haven't cleared a particular piece of content.

It's just a cringe boi being cringe, pay no mind to it, anyone who treats raid performance as a mirror of selfworth does not deserve attention.

I mean, considering a lot of people on the forums will claim your opinion is wholly invalid if you don’t take part in X content, it doesn’t really surprise me to see the mentality leak into other media lol

That streamer did a forum react video, so now people are probably making these threads in hopes that they'll end up on twitch.
The "clear dsr before you talk to me" comment was directed at a grown man who was melting down over a lalafell chair and comparing in game discrimination of lalafell to actual IRL racism. The idea behind it was that if the chair baby found something to actually do in game, he'd stop giving a shit about a damn chair.

The words were in fact said, but in the context it really isn't that serious. The OP is just trying to use it to stir up some drama on the forums as well. And it will probably work.

I could link my main character with dsr cleared but it wouldn't support my opinion in any way

Eh ... define common? Most people I know haven't cleared DSR, among those who cleared never talk that way. In fact before this I know MANY double and triple legend and NONE use it as a standard to judge other players. I find it more weird you have the time to take something random and "generalize" it as a common problem.
