I currently have 10 and am always struggling to make space. I do sell a lot on the market and try to keep all crafting mats on hand as well. There are just so many things that I have on them. I struggle to keep a lot of different things because I hate having to go farm it again. I don't see why they don't let us have more retainers...... Or better yet, a crafting chest for all mats to go into. That would free up probably 4 or more retainers there.
If they were to add more retainers on top of the 10, it's just more money in their pockets imo. I would gladly pay it.
Even if the crafting box is linked to a players house. But then you have to actually win the lottery to get a house first nowadays, thankfully I have mine from forever ago. Just need something to add more space.

Paid Retainers should have atleast 300 Slots. I have 10 Retainers too and at this point it gets stupid. We pay 25,99 for the Game and 19,60 only to have Space for our Items.
Why do we must throw away Items for that we used our Time to even get them? SE must deliver a solution for Material, Gear.
We should not pay to store our Gear, Glamour, Material. Other Games have Banks, Chests, Collections. Green, blue, purple Gear gets stored into a collection and can be used forever as Glamour.
Materials goes automatically into 1 Bag, when Harvest something and a whole Account can use that Bag.
Only in this Game you have to pay for Retainers to store your Items. -

I pay for this Game and spend a lot time to get special Gear, Weapons and what not. Just to throw them away?
My Stuff is organised, alone for Crafting Materials + Food I need 3 Retainers. I have only Material for Items I craft and sell + new Material for Rinascita and Indagator's Items.
I sell Furniture / House Deco and that needs tons of Space cause those Items needs tons of different Materials / Resources to craft them.
Then I have House Deko from all those Events + Coffers from Events and Glamour Items, special Dyes, Scrolls for Exp Bonus and a Handful other Items, that is a 4th Retainer.
The 5th Retainer is full with Retainer Restock Items like 40 Summer Sandals, 20-30 Sea Breeze Summer Pareo and so on.
3 Retainers with full Gear Sets / Tower of Babil, Troja, Eden and so on. 1 Retainer with Weapons, Jewelry and 1 Retainer with Materia + Items that I still need. The last Retainer is empty right now.
This Game has to many Materials, to many Gear / Glamour and to less Space to Store. -

why in the heck you need 40 summer sandals? Most special dyes are cheap on the marketboard and not worth keeping around on the off chance you might want that color. Let me guess your glamor dresser is full as well.

Most materia isn't worth storing because it sells on the MB for little more than sell to vendor value. What materia is worth storing doesn't take up that much space.
As for your Sandals and Pareos, there's a very simple solution. Stop desynthesizing the fish immediately. Store them and desynth a few when you are ready to sell more Sandals and Pareos. The fish will stack to 999 (which would take a stupidly long amount of time to collect unless you're operating a large fishing bot army) where the attire doesn't. That's 4 inventory spaces taken instead of 60. -

Add the ability to have 7 additional retainers, then add a button to the character selection screen: "Create New Retainer Character".
Limitations: cannot use skips, is anchored to a selected main character (need to empty the inventory and gear before assigning to another normal character)
Bonuses: Permanent "road to [current level cap]" boost
why? prevents botters from creating 7 alts per server and then boosting them to create a horde of retainers to run the market with.
