What if Dalamud is actually a planet full of life and cities and Eorzea is actually a Garlean-made machine that is being driven into Dalamud?

Mind blown.
You forgot the picture of Keanu Reeves circa Bill and Ted.
What if... the Dalamud is really planet Earth, and we're actually about to crash into the planet that holds Eorzea, and SE created FFXIV because it was infiltrated by Garlean spies intent on stopping us from being able to recover?
I think dalamud is full of teletubbies.
Way to spoil a very possible and mind bending twist of events :/
What if Dalamund was the world of Vana'diel, and the two realities are going to collide and crash an.. oh my.. the paradoxes would be endless!
I believe in life on Dalamud.
Me too

But I'm just being theoretical here.
What if Dalamud were comprised of tasty ham sandwiches?
Looks like Hamlet has your mind wandering often too!
Tanaka coming back on it with his own theme song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bd1Ibilzcck
I'm telling you all Dalamud is an egg...it will hatch and stream new life into the world...
Recall opening video...destruction of the big airship..."things" explode out. Dalamud greater version of that...It's the lifestream...touching and renewing the world.
Fml I hate spoilers ._.
i saw the title and instantly thought of keanu reeves..
damn you internets..
In Soviet Eorzea, Dalamud Drive you!
awesome NotApplicable JUST AWESOME
What if the Garleans are actually a terrorist organization who managed to divide by zero causing Eorzea and an alternate dimension (Dalamud) to start colliding towards each-other and once they collide they will create an all new third dimension which is what 2.0 is and this was all planned from the beginning?
I havent finished all story related stuff. Has it been confirmed that Dalamund even has anything to do with the 7th umbral era?
What if the Eorzea we are currently on is just the outer shell, and 2.0 is the world under it, and dalamud is just going to crack open the outer shell?
This sounds neat but from the 2.0 PDFs areas outside the towns are going to be altered (there are maps and stuff) so I don't think the solution would just be "the new areas are on the inside" also they said towns aren't going to be drastically altered too so...really confused about what exactly Dalamud will do. This last reason is also why original poster's theory, while neat, is unlikely at least in my opinion. These threads are always neat though.
What if we've been wrong this entire time... and 2.0 is actually on Dalamund? We can see it in the distance, but just can't reach it, yet we're all waiting for it to come to us!
I posted awhile back about it being Vana'diel and that is how they are going to bring ffxi to an end.
I still can picture Shantoto standing on top, riding it out of the clouds with her signature laugh
Ya, Vana'diel was flat, so Dalamud can't be Vana'diel.
You know Vana'diel was a disc because it when it was 4pm on one "side" of the world it was also 4pm on the other "side". No time zones and all of them with the sun in the same position of the sky at the same time. (this was discovered when linkshells were first used to communicate over the vast distances and later confirmed through teleportation research.)
While what you say is true, I don't think any of it is definite proof of Vana'diel being flat. I'm saying this mainly because I've always thought that the distances in Vana'diel are small enough to conclude that everything happens within the same timezone of a spherical world.
This is the answer to everything related to Dalamud...

It's KOOLAID!
If our planet was the one moving towards Dalamud, we'd experience a change in the day/night-cycle :3
Maybe Dalamud is radioactive and infects people with some kind of amnesia, people won't remember their races names. Suddenly Miqo'te decide to call themselves Mithra, Roegardyn suddenly grows a tail....
