it's a thread like another, starting a discussion about the imminent changes on the subscription plan, the meme thing is just a plus, if you don't like it you can always leave when you want ^_^

Reading comprehension fail. It doesn't say availability ends June 30th, it says that if you haven't played since subscription began then you'd have to buy the 90 day subscription before June 30th. Meaning that the 2.0 beta test will happen within 90 days of June 30th, and you won't have the time to purchase 3 individual 30 day plans before then.

If it is as the OP states, then a moderator should clarify.

no matter what, if i'm a new player and i want to be legacy i need to buy 90 days subscription BEFORE 30 july so it qualifies as the deadline for new legacy members, omg what's all without this seriousness have you been robbed by a rocketed-boot grannybear ? geez ..

So i'm assuming since you made a good meme you think it validates the threads worth?

Also im guessing you pay a monthly subscription and the news has no effect on your current subscription. Just another opportunity to put up a meme?

That's a matter of opinion.

This doesn't necessarily mean that the 2.0 beta will start within 90. It does mean that it won't happen before that 90 is up, and they could be intending on releasing the beta shortly after that 90 days. But it's in no way a guarantee that it'll happen.

alpha is starting late September which is 90days from now the end of this month:) so ya it's about right.

What about the 180 day option? I originally got that because of the nice discount, my sub ends in July so from then on I'd need to advance with 30 day subscription?

That's a tad annoying since I was counting on subbing for 180 days every time and be done with it.

What will happen the subscription ends ? Wasn't it supposed to be renewed automatically ? Will we be forced to change and set a 30 days subscription because our account information still states that we are on a 180 days subscription for now.

I think those plans will probably reinstated once 2.0 ships.
After all, they already confirmed we're gonna have about 1 month without being able to play.

So basically this month is the last chance to get a 90 day subscription? Okie dokie.

I understand that much, but it's still unclear what people with 180 day plans are actually going to do. Will we be forced to pay on 30 days until 2.0 comes out?

It's not the end of the world but it is a bit annoying, I much prefer paying for as many months as possible in one go (especially when it comes with a discount).

I just bought and started up FFXIV earlier this week. I have a 30 day free trial that came with the game but I did set up for 90 day sub starting on mid july when the 30 day free runs out.

Am I screwed from Legacy?

I think the cut-off date for registering new accounts was 31st May.

Thanks for the quick reply's. I guess i shouldnt be too concerned about it. I wouldnt mind paying $20 a month for a MMO that I actually enjoy in todays market.

Please help me understand this.

In February, I paid a 30 day subscription.
On May 22 I paid for another 30 days.
Come June 22 I should be billed a 3rd month.

Will I get legacy status when the third month is paid or should I change my sub to 90-days before it gets billed to get it?

You only need the rest 30 days to get your 90 cumulative days

It's $12.99 for the entrie membership (1 char each server, max. 8 chars) and $14.99 for the standard membership (8 chars each server, max. 40 chars)

@Miliant: People who started before May 31 still have time to get Legacy.

This change is just so they don't have to pro-rate a bunch of peoples 90day subscriptions.

Same here... I don't like monthly, I much prefer paying in bulk and being done with it.

Wonder if this recent change has anything to do with how they're going about their prepaid time cards. Would be funny if the cards give you 60 days of play xD

They only doing that, because of the amount of time left between now and 2.0 beta which is only about 3 months left

they removed the 90 days payment option already? v_v

If the 90 day option is already down, I would try contacting customer support. The announcement said that option would stay active until the end of the month, so you should still have 2 weeks to pay for a 90-day subscription. Keep in mind, of course, that if you attempt to alter your payment method/plan it will not show the option you already have set up. So, if I were to try to change/view the options, I would only see 30 days because I'm already signed up for the 90-day plan.

I'm confused. Please, if anyone is willing, can you explain me what to do now?

I'm over my free trial period and already paid for the first month (I'm in the 30-day based sub). Can I keep it like that or am I screwed regarding the campaign?
