Shout outs to all the players who didn't earn a house this cycle, don't give up you'll earn one eventually.
This game has been wishing me better luck in the future for more than a year now, I really wonder when this future is happening :3
Yeah lol. I’ve been trying to get my house back for 5 years. Wonder when that’s gonna be.
More houses incoming after 45 days have passed since 6.3 launch. They will auto-demolish on February 24 and we should be able to bid on them in the cycle March 1 - March 6.Quote:
For players who have entered their estate at least once during the suspension period:
The auto-demolition timer will be reset after the release of Patch 6.3 for free company estates that have been entered by a leader or member at least once, and private estates that have been entered by the owner at least once.
The count for days of inactivity for the aforementioned estates will begin again with the release of Patch 6.3.
I have lost 30 consecutive cycles, and decided this was the final one. I unsubscribed a few minutes ago.
Man...I want to cry. I bid on a plot with only 2 bidders. I've been wanting a house for a year and half. I can't seem to win. One of this days, I'm gonna unsubscribed from this game. This is the only system I hate so much that it gives me extreme anxiety every week.
first world problems
Thank you! I lost my favorite small to 2 other bidders. I've been bidding almost every cycle since it started, and I'm still looking forward to the next one. I have been somewhat picky, though, so it wasn't unexpected.
On the bright side, my FC was finally able to upgrade from our Goblet small to a LB medium, and I'm tremendously excited to see how it develops!
Same! I serious do not understand why they have made housing this difficult to get, especially if you are wanting to upgrade to a medium. I was the only bidder for days and when I logged out last night I was still the only one. Someone swoops in last minute and I lose again. I just turned the game off because my hopes we high with the new wards, but nope. Still lost.
I won a house as a joke on my alt.
:)
Better luck next time for 4 years here.
Dude just transfer to Dynamis or make a "house alt" on it. With exception of Seraph, the wards are practically empty. If you're getting legitimate anxiety over having a house... idk man, I would either exit that stuff entirely, or adjust your goals to be more attainable. Dynamis is pretty much free real estate, you just have to show up.
Telling people to move to Dynamis isn't a solution. Its like telling someone to move to the corn fields of Ohio or something because it has housing. Nobody wants to give up their FC, friends, etc to move datacenters even with DC travel being a thing now because its incredibly inconvenient.
Welp, although I said I was going to go big and bid on a LB-41, I chickened out in the end and went for a LB small but someone else came to bid as well and won the coinflip. I'm happy for them though as the winner is from a RP FC and only entered to be in the same ward as their FC house.
Still I guess it's back to the Limsa sewers for me since that's my one decent chance on Balmung :(
Still a good chunk of smalls to choose from on Gilga at least for the next cycle.
Sure would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath for the future.
Going to expect to enter in whatever scraps are left on my server and keep losing weekly until we're back to having no plots again for purchase.
Bit over it by now.
I have an FC room and an apartment, but I can't really decorate them the way I'd like to due to hitting the item limits, and I'd love to use some stuff like the wisteria trees but... those are outdoor items only and neither FC rooms nor apartments have a yard, unlike XI's Moghouse had.
I'll have to catch up to access Island Sanctuary stuff, but even then that still doesn't cover that I would like to decorate a nice garden.
Was nice at least to see everyone in the Goblet on my server wishing each other luck, but sucked in being the only one there and online at the time to have lost in that entire ward to a coinflip, whilst others had no one else bid on their's at the last minute, unlike the plot I was going for. :/
It *is* a solution. It's just not a solution you like. There is nothing stopping you from going back and visiting your friends when you are not at your house, DC travel is a thing. Or just make an alt on Dynamis, it's quite easy to raise the 3 million to afford a house when it hands you 1 million for free, or you can just travel to your home DC and ask your friends to load it up. It does take a little bit of effort to get to 2nd Lieutenant, but it's not an especially onerous task.
The solution to the problem exists. If people don't want to go to the trouble of it, then clearly they do not want a house as badly as they claim to.
i would hate to move to dynamis only to not secure housing i wanted
After the super lackluster patch with very fast msq, then losing a house again... I won't be subbing anymore. It's no longer fun to wait.
Mao is wonderings if some peoples are being bit too picky. Mao is fortunate in that Mao LOVES the Goblets so Mao got a small a while back and now has a medium. Mao seems to recall Jojoya saying that if not has house, maximize chances by pickings ANYTHING that has decent chance. For some, being picky means goings without.
I didn't need the luck to win a lottery against myself. :D
No one has to give up anything other than their old house when they transfer to Dynamis.
If your FC stops including you in their activities because you changed worlds to get a house, they're not a FC worth being part of.
If your friends stop being friends because you change worlds to get a house, they were never friends in the first place.
I've still been doing things with friends. Sometimes I go to them, sometimes they come to me. Data center travel has been annoying at times this week because of the patch but prior to the patch the longest wait I had to transfer was 3 minutes and 90% of the time it was under one. As soon as the initial patch hype wears off and players go back to their normal routines, travel times will decrease again.
If owning a house is that important to someone, it's worth making the move to get the house. If they won't move, then the house isn't as important to them as they make it sound.
everyone is very picky! i didnt get a super nice small plot, for this reason i might try for something a little less sought after this next lottery period.
It's really sad that a post offering kind words turned into a whingefest.
