Placeholder to share your lottery result on this 1st round of 6.3 lottery :)
Won! :D
Goblet; 27, 27 (small)- and absolutely delighted!
I WON!!!!!!! FIVE FREAKING YEARS PAYING A SUB AND I FINALLY HAVE A LARGE YEAH BABY!!!!!!!
Edit: I was luckily the only bidder on that house in Goblet, and even though I won, I agree the system sucks and they should definitely change it.
Lost again, out of 3 bids on a medium.
Lost against the only other bidder in a ward where half the other smalls had no bids... now to wait until January 29th for the next results period.
I really dislike that the housing lottery just slows down the FOMO and hoarding (yes this still exists) that plagues the housing system. Not only has the size of the player base doubled in a very short amount of time, Square Enix were able to add Island Sanctuary which gives everyone their own area to customise. Except rather than giving us instanced housing, we were giving a crappy farming system with less depth than those 2010 Facebook games. I played Warlords of Draenor when it was current content and the Garrison, a terrible system I must add, had more depth than Island Sanctury. Of course, we'll get small updates every major patch for the next few at least but honestly just delete the system and use that server load for instanced housing.
Alternatively, given that Square Enix never like to remove content with rare exceptions, actually implement and retroactively enforce a one personal and one FC house PER GAME LICENSE rule. More importantly, do it fast so players don't have time to setup extra accounts and shift Gil around to maximise their chances at buying plots back on new accounts. If we're going to have a limited amount of housing, you should be maximising the chance for as many unique individuals as possible to own one. The hoarding, via alts or being granfathered in from the old ownership rules, absolutely has to be dealt with. It is a necessary evil and just use the calamity salvager to send all the housing items to from extra plots so nothing is lost.
Now I know we've got more servers now as well but to be honest, I don't want to play on a "dead" new server. I spent a lot over 5 months on Raiden after it opened and sure housing is easy to get, but good luck actually seeing many people in the game world or selling things on the marketboard. Playing on a dead server shouldn't be the price to pay for easy to access housing, design better systems thatare actually suitable for a 2023 MMO. The neighbourhood feeling is the biggest load of horseshit I've ever heard of, absolutely nobody walks around them unless there's a raffle going on. Sometimes you'll see people queueing for the generic RP clubs with "Twitch DJs" but that's about it. Half the houses on Lich look identical to how I first saw them when I started the game back in April 2021, they might as well be generic appearances and each plot is instanced like apartments are (so there's just one ward with 100+ versions of each plot as separate areas basically).
2 biodders on a large, i was number 1, number 2 won...FFS
9 bidders on this medium, and I lost. I really hate this RNG system, and I rolled on ward 30. Why not more PRIVATE wards? This whole system is BS.
I was single bidder up until yesterday. There were several plots with zero bids available, but someone just had to bid on the same as mine. Of course I lost.
Lost the personal bid I had on a medium house, it had 2 bids including mine. That someone else was a last day bidder whereas I'd been waiting all week to claim the plot...
Won the fc bid on an Ishgard mansion where all 3 bids were mine. My first mansion!! :D
Lost against one other bidder on a small.
So I'm still homeless, but it's hard to feel disappointed since I never get lucky in life. I knew I will never win any of my lotteries anyway.
Lost large spot in Empyreum again, I just wanted to move my large away from Goblet, but guess I just wait for another year so for another chance on this rng bs.
My FC and another FC that have been around for years lost a large to some FC that formed about 5 months ago who came in last minute yesterday to drop a single bid. This is the second time this has happened to me.
I hate this system and wish they'd release just one free for all ward the next time they do this lottery crap. I'd feel less terrible about being too slow to get to a house before someone else bolts for it as opposed to sitting here for 5 days stewing over a bid only to have some last minute jerkface show up and clinch it.
I WON LARGE PLOT!

Goodbye Roegadyn flexing view, you will be missed...
Lost a large fc house with a 75% win chance. Can't wait to see when it's just a shell fc because square enix can't figure out how to implement a fair system.
Its really disheartening to find a house, be the first one there and bid only to lose due to rng to a last-minute bidder.
I lost to an fc that placed 7 bids on the plot I bid on. Total bids was 8, so 1 against 7 -> of course the fc won.
I am wondering how having an fc able to place multiple bids is fair? Then again I could have lost against 1 as well...
I did a bid yesterday on a large myself. Was #5 on the plot. Just checked the bids and mine won!
Lost again- am I surprised ? Pfff not at all. I'm so used to it now that I just every week (When I could because before they added ward that will not change anything almost none house were available ) still do how sad it is for such a basic thing to be so broken is that normal that people (not me) but people who played for years now that PAID MONTHLY for the last 10 years to still not have an house? I know it ain't Yoshi-P fault I really believe its more SE. For me I just have to have an house for me and my gf who lives at the other side of the world so we can a feeling of living together. Can't believe the WoLs after saving the world are still homeless lol
Im happy for people who got them this turn I hope they will have fun with them. as the rest like me well look like we will suck on SE a bit more to have a house,Fun
Yet again for an entire week I was the only bidder on a large house, until in the last 2 minutes some crusty shell FC pulled up to bid... Ofc I lost. I love the housing system. It's so fun and fair
I've lost for the 7th time, let's keep the streak going!
I was the first bidder, till the last few days then max was 4
The winner was 4, what a lucky person to just walk up after 3 AM - 9 AM CST last day and just win.
So much fun.
Competed for a medium against other 2 people and lost (I was the first one to bid).
I have never been saltier in this game.
Sometime I can't believe I paid monthly for this
Lost again as per usual. Sad that a free to play game like Elder Scrolls Online has housing for all and this game that you pay for can't have that. This is the only thing in the game that feels toxic. Onto next ward band-aid whenever they decide to do that.
If they insist on lottery only, why not make it 1 day bid and 1 day retrieve/purchase?
That rewards active players more, without having to make them click on the placard at just the right time or be up at certain hours.
Lost my 50/50 coin toss to someone who came in at the last minute. I'm not even mad anymore. It's just disheartening, especially when you walk across the street and see what FFXI did with the mog houses. Just...let us upgrade the apartments already. Keep the wards for people that want a neighborhood, but for the rest of us, just let us have instanced with some kind of roof addon for us to put all the outdoor furniture we are "rewarded" with every seasonal event.
they need to let me pull out my money with my bid, because for the life of me I have no good explanation why people would pile onto an large when there's perfectly good ones with less than 3 bids on them..
I was the only bidder on this medium in Empyreum for days. Then along came 2 more bids and lost to one of them...
I can't wait for the eventual day when there'll be 0 bids on homes until literally the last hour, lol.
Why are you guys complaining about last minute bids? Your bid isn't superior because it was early or anything. Its just how RNG works.
Because people get excited, if they are the only bidder for an entire week, Jessica.
And if you see, that the timer is going to end in 5 minutes, and there is only ONE bidder, and you still decide to bid... I mean... Good for you. But that doesn't make it any less of an asshole move.
I won! A lovely little small in Empyreum in an absolutely *perfect* location for me, that I'd fallen in love with ever since its placement was first shown off in the Firmament, and I missed my chance with when Empyreum was new because we were cheating on FFXIV with another game, heh.
Well... this is certainly incentive for me never to cheat on FFXIV again. I can't afford to be gone 45 consecutive days and lose this li'l beauty! <3
