New Housing for wards 25-30

I thought today was the day we were able to bid on the plots? Is there something saying we have to wait? I read when they were announced that they were going to make us wait a bit, especially for the fresh servers/data centers.

I don’t know if they applied this to everyone or if we’ll need to wait for the next bid timer. As of right now, the wards are just for visiting and they don’t even have the FC/private category set on the UI.

I read the patch notes again and it is indeed confusing, must have some info hidden somewhere else. Hopefully I get a L this time but I won’t hold my breath. I genuinely wish they offered us alternatives.

Nvm saw the patch notes detail, you can visit these wards for now but they’ll be made available for purchase at a later date. Not communicated.

You should be able to bid on these plots now if you're on Malboro server.

Idk why it hasn't updated but I'm on Madiun lol. As of now it has no information on when we can buy the new houses in wards 26-30. Also I keep reading the post that the devs made and it doesn't make any sense. Why are these servers being postponed, when the main reason to moving these servers was for housing lo.

Honestly why though? The main reason I moved to this server was to find housing lol.... great

There, now it's updated. There's no more housing at all on Maduin?

There are plenty of homes in the formerly FC only wards as well as private wards on Materia and Dynamis. They want the housing districts to fill up before they open more. It's only on the new servers that this is an issue at the moment. When they'll make those additional wards available is unknown.

If you're not finding available plots on Maduin, you aren't looking. There are a few hundred still available in the original personal wards, and wards 10-12 are now converted from FC to personal.

If your main purpose was to get a medium or large in a specific housing district other than Goblet, you should have moved to Maduin the first week the server was open instead of waiting until now.

Ah man thanks so much for this useless response, I recently got back into the game. Sorry I don't have time to view ff14 news on the daily. Please try and contribute to the main post of me saying when does the bidding on the new plots open. No one asked your condescending statement.

Except it was a useful response because it addressed the post I quoted. You said you came to Maduin for housing and implied none was available. I pointed out there were hundreds of plots still available.

It's only later that you admitted you weren't after any house but rather a Mist large. If you had been more specific from the start, you would have gotten different responses.

We can't help if if you couldn't be bothered to read the Lodestone post in its entirety in the first place or communicate exactly what housing you were trying to get until halfway through the thread. We could only respond to what little you had told us.

We don't know because there is no tentative date mentioned in the Lodestone post.

Great they added all these new wards - but I do kinda wish they'd add some to, for example, Old Sharlayan or Radz-at-Han. I'd love a house in the former location!

It might be something to hope for in the future. I had been hoping for an Ishgard house just as Stormblood was being launched.

You don't have to do that. You can relocate your house to a new plot, and get um... I think 30% of the original plot's price back when you complete the relocation.

I didn't ask for your sit down lesson on what I should have done. You simply could have just said look at the patch notes that were posted. I hope they create more housing in cities other than the main hub for each expansion! I think the pixie area would be really nice to live in as well. Old Shar and Radz would be nice as well!

If the system wasn’t half baked, we would get smalls and improve them to become larges. On my server there’s a ton of smalls available and medium/large got taken. Because compared to a small, medium and large are just better than an enhanced apartment.

Again, it was your comment implying that there was no available housing on Maduin that I was replying to, not your original question. Patch notes wouldn't have told you that there was plenty of available housing on Maduin. Patch notes wouldn't have told you that all the personal Mist larges were sold out.

Patch notes also wouldn't have given you the answer to your original question. That information was included in a separate Lodestone post (which the patch notes would have directed you to) and which you already stated you couldn't be bothered to read.

Sorry that you feel it's useless to be told to read information before making a decision. Look forward to life filled with making dumb mistakes because you dismiss that as useless knowledge. But your choice to live your life as you want.

Anyway, you've long since been given the answer to your original question. No one knows because SE hasn't said. Hopefully you get your Mist large at some point in the future.

If the system was instanced, players could go directly to what they wanted to have without going through upgrade steps.

I know I'm a broken record but take RIFT's housing system, replace its art aesthetic with FFXIV's and most of us would be in housing heaven.

Want multiple housing locations per character? Not a problem.
Want a choice of locations from almost every zone in the game? Not a problem.
Want to place items vertically or resize them? Not a problem.
Want to whitelist/blacklist who can enter? Not a problem.
Want to share your housing with other housing enthusiasts or just limit it to friends? Not a problem.
Want others to Like your housing and have those Likes easily seen by others? Not a problem.

I'd personally expect them to (and be okay with) handle it in the laziest possible way, but that'd be asking for too much. If a game as outdated and unoptimized as Mabinogi can do something like this, so can FFXIV. This was my suggestion. I'd stop posting here entirely if they did, but until then I'll just be bad press. They really do shaft us in terms of what they get and put back in; its incredibly thinly-veiled. I want to drop the game entirely, and have, but my friends are attached to their characters.

So, I echo the broken-record sentiment; and I refuse to shut the hell up about it until they take it as valid feedback and stop slacking.

Dont listen to these people man, typical final fantasy community member. There is no point voicing an opinion or asking questions. This whole community is rotten inside out. It used to be fun like 5 years ago. I dont see nothing wrong with you wanting a house but tbh, you had to be there when it got released. get ready for when these ward gonna be released. Id recommend preparing a fc to make sure you get the one you want.

I personally didn't call you childish. I was referencing others use of the statement. I was implying your crude and condescending tone with nearly everyone in here is childish.
