Primal Data Center Log-in issues

World Server: Ultros
Character Name: Amavel Shihoin

I cant get past the loading screen when logging in.
"Connection with the server was lost" (90002) error.
I was able to log in normally prior to 7pm.
I tried traveling to a different world server with the same result.

Traveling to another Data Center allowed me to log into game.
I went to Aether ---> Jenova and Cactaur

It was recently announced that issues with the Primal data center were resolved. I'm starting to suspect that those issues still persist.

Update: As of about 30 hrs from my original posting. No change. Still getting disconnected at the loading screen during log in.

Travelling to a different data center entirely works, but still get the 90002 error when I log in if I send him back to Primal even on any Primal world. I can log my alt in fine on Primal, its something specific to certain characters.

Having the same issue. Started out of the blue last night after playing all day long, I got disconnected and now I cannot login to any Primal worlds. I can manage to get into other Data Centers just fine, but with the limitations in playing in another DC I can't do anything I need on them, so basically I can't play the game aside from being afk there.

Tried using a VPN, flushing DNS, verifying the game's integrity, and all the usual useless measures. Nothing helped.

After moving to another Data Center and trying to get back to Primal, my character's position was changed to my home city's aetheryte, as that's what happens when you do that, but I still face the same issue. So it's not a matter of the character being stuck in a glitched location or something. All Primal worlds are affected, not just my home world.

There was a post yesterday saying it was caused by server equipment but that it has been solved (https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...bb74399cb05e35). However it's clearly not completely resolved.

Same problem. I got back on briefly but went immediately back to the 90002 depths. The email I got form support said it was a character data issue, but I can't log in on other computers either. The said that if that didn't work that I would just have to wait until the server recognized my character as offline.

I think you're right, the issues weren't resolved at all.

My character has been offline for over 10 hours now. If that's not enough time for the servers to recognize it is offline, then I don't even know what to say.

I am having the exact same problem described above, including to the fact that it is only one character that has the problem. It has been going on since 6am Central Standard Time on Jan 11 until now 10am Central.

Issue is not resolved whatsoever I am not allowed on my main in Excalibur despite it being offline all night but can get on my alt in Jenova no problem.

I tried to log in with another char in same account and same datacenter/world and I could log into game without any problems, so the issue is a character's issue and not an account one.

Yep they did something and now certain character files are in limbo my lala alt in the same server same FC/location can log in no problem.

SAME. I'm able to play the game login and no issues with all characters BUT ONE. That one will non-Stop give me 90002 just after logging into. This was the character I was logged into last night when first booted with 90002 error.

Nope, my character is still lost in the lifestream apparently.

Nope, my bubblegum is still lost in limbo.

I've not had any issues. I'm on Lamia and console so I don't know if either of those have a factor. Granted, I haven't tried to log in since this morning.

Yup. I even tried from my partners computer. Same issue. Only that 1 character. I've been stuck since around 7pm yesterday. At least i can play on an alt in old MSQ but I really wanted to do the new raids. Hopefully they do...something?

Can we at least get some form of answers? Cause this is really starting to irritate me that my main character is by accounts lost until the next maintenance

On Lamia, I also am unable to login either. Just getting a 90k every time the login queue refreshes.

Since sometime after midnight ET I am also having the 90002 error on one single character (Sadly it's my main). The error occurs after I choose my character and wait through the login queue. I will see the splash screen for the zone my character is in as it's loading the zone. Then I get a black screen and error 90002 saying I was disconnected.

I can data center travel to Aether, Crystal, or Dynamis with my main to any other DS and log in just fine. This is only happening on Primal.

My alt on Primal works absolutely fine. It logs in successfully with no issues or 90002. This issue is only affecting ONE character on my account (my main).

Tried removing my character config folders, as a test for corrupted local data, and this resulted in no change to the problematic login behavior.

Also called support and was given a case id, but the tech on the line was unable to provide a more permanent solution other than: "Just play on another data center for now"

Same issue as above. I was able to log into my Alts on Lamia just fine (all 5 of them).

The character having the problem is the character I was playing last night (1/10/23) at 11:15PM EST when everything started kicking people and not letting them log back in.

World Travel, it assigned me to Ultros, that still did not work. As in, I could not log into that world either.

Data Center Travel (Dynamis - Seraph), this worked to log in! After returning to my home world and data center though, I was still not able to log back in.

I'm having the same issue. I can log on just fine on other Data Center's but not on Hyperion. I reach the splash screen after queue then immediately get a 90002 error.

Mostly posting as a thread bump. Hopefully this issue gets fixed shortly. It wouldn't be an issue to me if I could interact with retainers and timed nodes on other servers.

Damn, what a joke. I don't think they realize some of us kinda have things to do within a certain period when a patch like this drops.

Oh mine just fixed itself. I wasn't able to log in not 10 minutes ago, but I was just able to get through.

I didn't do anything, so something may have happened on the backend.

Still not working for me.

They could at the very least say they are aware of the issue, it feels like this is not even being worked on at the moment. Especially when there is an announcement saying things are okay now, which is not true.

Nope still locked out on mine. I honestly think whatever hotfix they implemented last night just bungled the server worse

Been getting 90002 whenever I try to log into any Primal server since 12AM EST. I was not on when everyone was getting disconnected last night. Logging into any of the other data centers allows me to log in. Still doing this as of a few seconds ago.

Same nonsense I got too. Like is it really that hard to just acknowledge there's a problem? I guess who cares as long as the majority can get in

Still can't login either. I was in the middle of a cutscene last night around 11pm central and got booted. Every time I try to login I get 90002.

yes, hello, I am also having this issue. Was logged out of the game last night while in the instanced area after the new story dungeon and haven't been able to log back in to any primal server since. Currently trying to finish the story on Dynamis, but I'd really like to play with my friends.

Having the same problem as everyone else. got DC'd when there were problems last night and now cannot login to any of the primal servers on my main. All of my alts have no problems. If I datacenter travel I can login fine. I have tried a different computer as well as fresh install. Last reply I got from support was that my character was probably still logged in and to wait, however that is not the case. It would be nice if there was some kind of acknowledgement of this problem instead of getting generic replies.

Did the new alliance raid last night and shortly after got randomly kicked, probably like everyone else. Dc'd to a 585 que but got 9002 error tried again and it was 483, so I just quit game for evening. I haven't been able to log back into my main character since. I've tried repairing, verifying, and now I am currently reinstalling. 3 years of settings and macro's #Rip. Good luck everyone.

Finally managed to login. You guys should try now and see what happens.

Just tried again after spending an hour or two on another Data Center. Still no luck for me. :(

Running in to the same issue yet. Cannot log in on Hyperion. Tried transferring to Lamia, and could not log in. Transferred to Aether (Cactaur) and was able to log in.

Tried restarting the game, my computer, my router, and my modem, all to no avail.

Seems to be a slow process of elimination After a full day of not allowed on I could finally get in

I am having the same problem, I keep getting 90002 on this character, but my other characters can log in fine. I tried using a different PC, a freshly installed FFXIV client, reset router / change DNS and still don't work. The only way I can log in this character is if I data center travel and log in on a different DC, but as soon as I go back to Primal, Behemoth, I get kicked out with 90002 error.
