Auto Umbrella Feedback

Hey devs the Auto-Umbrella feature was a great idea and really cool. Thanks for allowing us to interact with NPCs and purchasing things without losing it as well. The more places and less limitations we have on them the better.

It's little details like this that bring the world to life in a way that shows you care about the game as a passion, and not just as a job.

Please continue on developing the fashion accessories as it opens up a new whole host of rewards for the game that will be worthy of playing for and acquiring. I Just wanted to show my appreciation. Even if my - and the playerbases lists of wants are many.

I'd like to see auto-sunglasses when outdoors in a city during sunny weather. And auto-wings of course.

This actually sparked an interesting idea. I agree with it of course, however since we have glamour plates, and now we know that Fashion acc. can be automated depending on the weather. It would be a very interesting idea to see if we could assign Glamour plates tied to weather events. For example one could designate a glamour plate to be auto-equipped for "Cold weather" and one for "summer weather" and "Swimming".

With the class restrictions on gear and everything perhaps the glamour plate may have to be tied only to "All classes" equipment, but I've often been wearing immersion breaking glamour just because I didn't expect the quest to suddenly ask me to dive while I'm wearing full plate armor. And it would be a huge inconvenience to teleport, reglam, and do it.

Bonus points as well if we can designate combat plates so you can be wearing a "traveller" glamour in the overworld while you queue but when you instance in you get switch to your "battle ready" gear.

since all of this is optional and could be link by right clicking the plates on the glamour dresser, it would not affect or discomfort the playerbase that doesn't want to get that into the glam system.

I like the feature. Really neat addition. The only thing I'd like to see improved is the animation as (un) equipping the umbrella looks a bit janky. :)

I really like this mode but there should be a toggle where to use the auto use umbrella. When it's raining at Island Sanctuary, it automatically opened the umbrella while I'm eating rocks...

I like that feature but there seems to be a bug where my character keeps the umbrella equipped when teleporting away from a zone that's raining. The game suddenly seems to think I manually took out the umbrella.

I am also really enjoying the little QoL updates they've done this patch. I hope they keep it up. In fact, one day if an update could be purely for QoL that would be amazing. Add more Fashion Accessories, more hair, update the character creator, maybe after the release of fem Hrothgar. I can only hope

The portrait thing is so ruined its unusable if you ask me. /facepalm

The amount of maintenance and careful planning you need to actually use it consistently is ridiculous. My guess is that the development team who did this isnt into glams and never changes their appearance....

Another QoL option for auto umbrellas would be to assign different umbrellas to a gear set, like we already do with glamor plates. That way my Ishgardian theme glam on one gear set can have the lace parasol while one of my Hingan style gear set can have a paper parasol. It would make it less jarring aesthetically to have this option.

On one hand I'm super in favour of this.

On the other hand I expect glamours to somehow break this feature altogether |D

I wish they add auto eat and drink feature every time sit down at a table.

Can we get auto-bikini when jumping in water?

Yeah teleports mess with the auto umbrella. I think if you teleport on a mount from a raining zone into a different zone, then when you dismount the game will decide that you need your umbrella. It's so annoying when doing FATEs that I've unequipped it. Ignoring the feature for now since it's too much of an annoyance.

I had the same problem till i found out, there is a visor bug. Just change the visor and save the gearset again. Then u will have the warning sign on the portait. Just edit and save and it should be finally fixed. At least this worked for me in the end.
