Also, I'm aware that Scepters and Wands are both currently in the game but they are nonexistent post level 50, so I feel they're fair game. (>w>) ~ ♥

since replying seems fine, I chose a chainsword/whip, and other instruments I forget.<but nothing that seems expected to fit other roles like "Nun", or tools.

I'm surprised no potions or toxins mentioned.<but not in a alc way, more like a ranger/scout/rogue.., Ala that famous Silver Ranked Slayer. but that's just me.., maybe even that special throwable blade of theirs.>

I tend to prefer more down to earth weaponry, which I think they're running out of?

In that regard, one-handed axes, both one and two-handed maces are something they could still add, as are dual swords, which they could combine with/into a double-ended polearm (akin to these used by FFXII Judges), for added novelty.

Me personally, I'm a huge sucker for swords, but I doubt we're getting any more sword Jobs (aside from the aforementioned dual swords, perhaps?)

Thinking of the roles that are due new jobs, I'd like to see:
Scouting: Dual-bladed weapons, like Zidane's 'thief swords' or Gabranth's weapon.
Aiming: Whips or Blitzballs
Casting: Bell (geomancer)

Warhammers. Because there's a severe lack of blunt weaponry.

Also, I kind of want a tank class using a Gunshield.

Personally, I love unique weapons and FF has so many. I'd much rather see giant bells, forks, dolls, blitzballs, that weird hook whip/fishing rod thing Vanille uses in FF13, etc over stuff you get in games all the time like pistols, clubs and more versions of swords personally.

I voted one handed maces/hammers, cause I want dual maces to go with Beast Master.

Then again I probably should have voted for dual blade weapons, but blades aren't maces as far as I'm aware, could get a big Shao Khan hammer, that's be cool.

I'm surprised throwing weapons are off the poll. I know we got Dancers with Chakrams, but those are more boomerangs than real throwables like, say, tomahawks or shurikens. Actually I think a good candidate for ranged DPS could be two-handed throwing axes.

I vote for whips. I really want a class that uses dual whips. One whip for short range attacks and another for long range attacks.

Apparently Yoshida confirmed recently that both 2-handed Hammers and Dual Shields (think Rhitahtyn) were Job ideas that made it quite far in the... selection process, I suppose? before ultimately being decided against

With the first trailer for DT i totally thought the Job of meteor was going to be a Whip Blade, or even more, a Rune Blade.
I legit thought that was going to be the caster job. A melee whip/rune blade class. But i guess that would hurt the Red Mage style.
