Replace One Job Ability With Another

Okay so how about a just for funsies thread?

Replace one ability from your main job with an ability from another job. What do you choose and why?

Hardmode: Cure 1 and the like have been automatically upgraded to Cure 2, etc via traits like they should have been, so you can't replace those. Summon Carbuncle is removed and also not replaceable.

This assumes any sort of gauge you need for that ability will be supplied in *some way*.

I assume we're treating this as a swap you can do at endgame, so we don't have to play "figure out how this would work in leveling" or when sync'd down?

In other words, could I dump Medica on WHM and replace it with, say, SGE's Pneuma, without worrying about the fact that Medica is your only AoE heal down in most ARR dungeons?

Replace Flamethrower with Kardia. Now that you generate 10 heat per AoE, Flamethrower is actually a DPS *loss*, so its totally useless, and Kardia would provide MCH with an edge in raids that it desperately needs.

I still don't understand how and why Flamethrower doesn't interact with Heat. Like... it's literally fire.

Easy question, replace Cure III with Reassemble, give me that sweet Afflatus Misery crits.

It really would just boil down to this, wouldn't it? Lol.

I'd sure as hell give up Riddle of Wind to get Reassemble on MNK so I can consistently crit Phantom Rush.

Give Bioblaster( from MCH) to Bard

Shouldn't we at least recognize the difference in effective ppm? The skill was made for MCH's kit, and therefore 409 ppm, rather than the more than double it'd grant MNK or WHM.

Anyways... replace Living Shadow's (functionality) with old Bunshin's functionality. Duplicate attacks (at quarter damage but full resource generation). Call it Dark Passenger or Shadowskin instead if necessary. Trades a glorified DoT for a less bug-prone actually decent power-up.

I'd trade dissipation for mirage dive and have a pixie jump the target XD

I would simply replace oblation on drk with war's bloodwhetting. :D

Replace Physick from SMN with basically anything else.

Replace it with BLM's triple cast. Actual phys ranged gaming.

It'd be tough but I guess I could sacrifice Pepsi's for Divination.

A tank with 2 invulns could be interesting too.

It would be better than nothing, but I'd prefer if they moved away from heals and resses on DPS.

for PLD Replacing Shield bash with nascent flash. Why not "insert DPS move here"? because funny.

In reality if I wanted to go for something "balanced" I'd just replace divine veil for shake it off, I know they're similar but wars is much less annoying to use.

Replace WHMs Raise with ASTs Ascend.

That animation with the angel wings belongs clearly to WHM.
