Please add an aggro range indicator. It can be as simple as a dotted line around a boss to show its aggro range. It is a very easy add and would help tremendously. Please up vote so this floats its way up to the producers/programmers <3

Why do you feel there needs to be one? Some things don't care how close you are even if you're in their hit box until you smack them. There's also a few types of agro in this game. Mostly two types unless you go into Eureka then you get a few more.
This sounds like a request from the folks that can't sit still...
ngl, the aggro detection is super weird.
i've had times, as Dps with no regens put on himself, that I'll be behind tank and the aggro goes to be me first. The tank of course steals aggro immediately but it's just...weird sometimes.
Nah, this sounds more like the summoners who'd forget their Garuda egi was set to sic when wanting to place them near the boss while everyone was coming back from being afk or talking about strategy. Not like the bards cause it almost always was bards that felt the need to be jumping around everywhere in everything.
aggro in this game is very simple. just let tank go first and aoe them all.
Honestly I am surprised nobody talks about aggro range of boss encounters, as different fights have significantly different aggro ranges (ex.1: P8S 2nd Phase his initial aggro range is shorter than his target range, ex.2: the aggro range of Adelphel and Grinnaux in Dragonsong's Reprise is extremely short, you can walk very closely and to their corners even), which people may want to utilise for their openers, like "can I safely walk up to the boss and just faceaggro it or do I have to use a ranged attack"? Latter applies to bosses with ranged auto attacks, which can decimate a dps / healer if they get hit.
Some bosses also do two auto attacks at the start for some reason (Hephaistos I and Voidwalker for example), which is why it might matter as well.
For bosses specifically? After a single facepull it should be pretty clear where the aggro distance is. I don't need more hand-holding.
kinda pointless since the aggro system in group content is extremely simple. I suppose in stuff like Eureka, Bozja and maybe deep dungeons it could be useful but idk
There is an agro indicator in game, I don't remember if it is set on by standard.
However you can enable it in the interface if so... that means the monsters you attack get on a list... and when the color turns on you... they will switch from the tank.... ever wondered why tanks instantly can see if the mob is running off them or they have missed it for then using a ranged attack... then there you have it the tool for it... it will also show which mobs is on you if you pass them and are discovered by them eg. in the wild or in Eureka/Bozzja alike zones and such as well.
Alot of agro is maintained by visibility range... so sneaking behind and hope they wont turn is also a way to dodge it.
The range changes the higher the level difference and when you are 11 levels higher, it won't attack you.
What I would prefer more than aggro range is just range. I want to know exactly how far I am from a hitbox so that it's easier to max melee.
I agree. I've had a squirrel look at me from across the realm and come straight at me like I stole their nuts. Then I've literally rubbed my butt on Sadus butt and she hasn't even bothered to give me a piercing glare.
Aggro ranges are inconsistent.
Regardless of where it starts, it's never inside the binding circles range. Keep your arse parked until the tank pulls and this is a non-issue.
Hmm... Is this a request from someone that keeps dying while trying to navigate Eureka/Bozja areas?
Avoiding aggro in this game was cakewalk after playing FFXI for years. Sneak/Vanish/Deodorize was for nubs... >.>
Granted getting to Jeuno at lv 4 when I first started the game was alot easier than getting back to San d'Oria after accidentally setting my homepoint in Jeuno as there weren't high lvl players in the game yet since it had just launched... XD
