Flying Lalafels?

In the last couple of days I have seen Lalafels fly up to the ceiling of various buildings(with no mount) in various places around the game world. The most common location being in the Twin Adder building they are hovering at the ceiling although I have seen the flash of them flying up there. What is up with that? Are these bots?

Is this some sort of late April joke?

A lot of people do manage to be blissfully unaware of the botting situation in XIV for a long while.

The teleporting lalafell bot armies in particular tend to come and go and can disappear for months at a time on occasion.

When there is no more room in Hell, the lalafells will rise to begin their siege of Heaven.

No I am serious. Dynamis, Marilith. I have been seeing them in the GC in gridania flying up by the ceiling. I have also seen them in Coeurthas Western near the ceiling in several of the buildings. Several times you will see the fast streak of them flying up there.

ok so these are bots then. I thought they might be but until now I had always seen them glitched underground or into cave walls. Hadn't see the flying trick before.

Jokes aside........why the hell is it always lalafels? Because they’re so good with gil or is there something Im missing here?

It might just be a weird holdover from the 3.0 era where they were still using BLMs for farming and lalafells had a tangible advantage in that their slightly higher MP pool allowed them to get an extra Fire cast off before needing to shift to ice.

isn't it so their nameplates are less likely to clip through the floor?

Yeah they are hacking bots, better get used to it. Sometimes they are also derplanders but most times they are lalas for whatever reason. Just ignore them, they can't hurt you, usually.

They mostly come at night, mostly.

I saw these levitating lalafel at the Serpents GC place in Gridania also! I knew I wasn't crazy!

Do an open search in any of the regions on Dynamis. There is an excess of bots that think they can get away from the spray bottle.
