You musta missed the picture where he has 2 coffee cups next to his hand xD
In before the ("this is a grown man, he can take care of himself") I sincerely hope he's doing well, and not just because he's the producer of FFXIV, but just on a empathetic human level. anybody willing to put their health and personal time on the line to insure that other people are happy is a saint, in my opinion.
Only one week vacation? ..he should take 1 month at least. He deserves it greatly.
I noticed that too..and felt bad ; ; I hope he gets a break soon , poor guy :( The work he has done for this game though has been phenomenal!
Nah he'll be ok, by now his blood is composed of 90% coffee so it should keep him active for quite a bit of time. The other 10% is passion.
Why am I reminded of

i did not see the pic of him could someone link it please. i do hope he is taking care of him self. he don't need to kill him self over getting the game finish
Telling him he looks awful isn't going to motivate him is it.
I doubt he is "poor" as mentioned in your title.
Big jobs come with big responsibilities.
The new version's due out soon, so it's not surprising that he'd be working extremely hard. I would imagine that within a few weeks after 2.0 goes live, he's going to take a nice, long break.
He got Samurai blood in him

<_< To lazy to actually put any work into it but ya, he's a zombie. As we all know zombies don't sleep.
he can have whatever blood he want in him, as long as he has his heart attack after 2.0 is launched.
He does what he does, and he is doing a good job and we are all very thankful. Let's just leave it at that... lol
Or perhaps its just jet lag.
There was an interview early last year that I think he looked much worse in. It was probably because the schedule was fairly new to him still.
Accept a job knowing that will take up the majority of your time...
Get pity from the fanbase...
He signed up for it. He knew what he was getting himself into. My guess he's getting some great compensation.
He's hardcore.
Yoshida, we love you <3
He's still good looking, imo.
Lol, I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the year he had a beard, long unkempt hair... and came to work, interviews, and meetings in sweats.
As much as I love what yoshi p has done , lets not forget all the little people underneath him that are putting in the long hard hours hehe. But with what he has been able to do with the game and the time crunch his people that work for him must be motivated so at least he is a good boss.
Haha option c: Just thought of this lol.
Maybe those coffe cups are filled with liqour lol.
I can just see it now everyone at the ffxiv team at work dressed up in costume like moogles or their favorite final fantasy characters getting wasted lol.
Sleepiness or hangover ?
Of course he knew what he was getting himself into. I would think, however, he would have to have some amount of passion for the project due to the massive amount of fail it was at launch. Who in their right mind would WANT to work on a failed/hated mmo unless they had at least SOME passion for it?
And so the fans are recognizing those extra hours he and his team have put in, and are therefor, showing a little respect for it. Is that a bad thing?
I'm really pleased with where he's taking the game, but at the same time I worry for his health. Granted, the human body is an amazing thing but I definitely think Yoshi needs a vacation and some pho XD
How he does it is because he truly loves his job.
<3 Yoshi :D
What rock did you crawl out from? Is it bad to respect Police, Firefighters, EMT's and Doctors for saving peoples lives? I mean, that's what they are supposed to be doing right?
This game has far exceeded the expectations of most of it's current players. If it hadn't, this game would not be running still. Yoshi-P and the entire dev team have gone above and beyond what most of us thought they would or could. So aside from the few arrogant folk suffering from "cultural differences," we thank you!
^ this guy gets it
I really do feel sorry for the guy. He's definitely turning Final Fantasy XIV around, but a the cost of his health. I'll gladly continue to show support for the game and hopefully after 2.0 launches, he can finally get a vacation.
