Old event rewards returning as online store purchases?

For seasonal and or other event, is there a pattern or just if and when SE decides to make them available for purchase?

They generally become available for the next time the holiday comes around.

The exception is temporary crossovers, which, aside from the FF13 gear, never go on the cash shop. Usually the events get reruns later anyway (sometimes with updated/added rewards, notably the Yokai Watch and Garo crossovers), so there's no real choice but to wait and hope.

Drats, it's the cross over items I was hoping would go on sale. Ah well FOMO!

Which items were you looking for? They have a tendency to rerun the crossover events (if license agreements allow) so players late to the game get a chance at them.

I really hoped they’d bring the paramour chocobo saddle again but it’s been years :/

There was also the FFXV crossover, whose Noctis outfit and the other rewards still haven't gone on the store. It made an appearance around the time I first started playing, and someone said that it was a rerun of the event.

I remember reading somewhere that the last FFXV crossover was the final one, i may be wrong on that but it took forever to get the event again.

Garo really can't be termed an "event" like the FFXV or Yokai events. It's closer to a permanent addition like Monster Hunter, albeit one that was vulnerable to the licence expiring.

I believe it wasn't even supposed to return after its run in 2019, but they brought it back during EW build up

The only chance of it possibly coming back might be a big anniversary, like XV's 10th in 2026.

I've never seen any official statements that the FFXV event isn't coming back – just a claim that gets passed around the forum occasionally.

If they weren't intending to bring it back then I would expect to see the outfits added to the cash shop, but until I hear anything more official, I am expecting that they will continue with the current model of repeating it every so often to draw people back to the game during quiet periods.

The Lightning event got 3 reruns, so it's likely. I think the Shantotto event only came around twice, but the Dragon Quest one has been rerun like 3 or 4 times.

Same. I searched and found nothing. No comments anywhere even close...so yes it is coming back we just dont know when.

Just keep watch for if/when they do it. A lot of time will announce on live letters when ones coming back or happening.
