Adding more wards reduces the achievement for us who had enough skill to get a house before they ran out. I don't see them re-releasing old pvp rewards, so why should houses be any different?

Wait, what? I mean I don't care either one way or the other but what skill is required? My wife has won 3 houses before the lottery change (server transfers) and it took her like 16 hours of just sitting at a sign clicking over and over. Forever. Always. Once it gets taken, you look for other houses that are at a certain time since they were put up to auction and you go back to just clicking over and over.
Lol this has to be a troll post. SKILL?
You are not being punished. And if you are afraid of your house getting devalued, then its up to your skill to make sure it doesnt. Because you call it skill...
People with over 5b gil can still end up without a house easily, because its RNG. And placard clicking was just promoting bot usage, do you realy call that skill?
Also, housing is promoted as a big feature in this game, appartments dont cut it here (let alone some servers even being full on that). If they would not address this issue, they could be sued on that for false advertisements. Because in such glam heavy oriented game, these things do matter.

Since when has getting house required skill?
Other than some very basic planning which any average person can do.
I sure love my achievement title from winning a house, I wear it all the time, it even comes with a little house mount.
First come, first serve isnt skill, click bots arent skill either, nor is having more free time to sit clicking a board.
Not having 16 hours spare to sit clicking a board, or starting the game 12 years after it was released a lack of skill.
The whole housing system is an ill thought out idea. They should have public wards with a premium property price for those who want to flex, and an instanced area for those who don't.
The title of this thread is misleading as it includes "we."
People with 5b would simply buy a house (even beside what the TOS is stating)
Funny thing is the are promoting housing including apparments just not for the translated EN version. JP, FR, DE includes appartments as well in the housing ad.
Who is this "we" you are referring to?
I certainly approve the addition of extra wards, even though I had the "skill" to get not only one but two houses (one on each of two different servers) back when there were plenty of free plots on the smaller servers.
I wish they would add 20 more just so everyone can get one and end the ridiculous notion it is a status symbol. I love my house but I use it daily and others never get visited and are empty all the time. People just bought them as they felt they should. It is sad to see them rot there when people that are active and fc that are active want one. Glad FFXIV listened to people and added more.
turn the wards into a giant lalafell tummy so we walk on it and fall into their belly button
This is ridiculous. Housing is an advertised feature that also provides utility with gardening, vendors, fc chest, crafting, workshops. More wards doesn’t take away anything from anyone.
Likely a troll post.
I'd like to see every player that wants a house to have one. I don't see how it "takes away" anything from me having my own.
Who are these "we"? I don't know anyone who is disappointed with the addition of new wards.
Perhaps you're the only one who has such an opinion among thousands of happy and grateful players.
RMT is against the TOS of Service, the competition for housing in reference is putting in your bid. You may think a lottery hardly constitutes competition, but it's purely competitive by virtue of only allowing 1 winner. Luck is a huge contingent factor in skill, the two cant easily be divorced.
With limited houses it keeps interest in the system and also provides fresh need for furniture from the player market when people vacate and a new person gets their home. If everyone had a house, it would ultimately defeat the purpose. If you thought wards were dead now, they would never be visited after this. It's a good thing that players without homes come to visit wards and admire what they haven't earned yet.
here fishie fishie fishies
Sorry to burst your bubble but SE does not intend for housing to be a player created market. If they did, there would have been a Real Estate section added to the marketboard or separate NPC set up to coordinate sales.
So is purchasing with intent to resell even if it's for gil.
It may be bait but it's bringing additional attention to how some players are misusing the system.
Now if SE would only take some concrete action against those players.
so true! we don't want extra wards, we want them to delete housing as a whole! what an entirely correct opinion! wow! never would have thought of that myself!
