Ok the relic weapons are very nice. And i dont mind the The ridiculous requirements. But what im upset is that they didnt wait a bit longer. Now just hear me out.
Now like i said i wouldnt have a problem with the requirements. The problem is that doing those requirements will lets face it take a long time. I for 1 dont want wouldve like to have seen more jobs out before they release the relics.
I like Drg but its not my calling, or atleast id rather put the effort to the Jobs i Love like Drk, Smn, or Rdm.
Anyone else feel this way?

I'm...a bit confused.
You're saying it's too early for Relic weapons...but it's going to take too long for people to get them? In theory, wouldn't that amount of time to get them place the first Relic holders further in the future? -

Honestly, it'll probably be a lot -easier- to start a relic later on / after 2.0, after the prices of the relevant materia have stabilised and so on. It's part of why I'm not really focusing on one yet, although I'm not sure if I ever actually will.

It's my impression that these relic weapons will need to be upgraded with quest extensions every time the level cap increases.
...so i don't know if it's too early precisely. By the time the cap increases there will be new jobs with it. -

I just wish they required skill to obtain in regards to the job you're trying to obtain the weapon for. They should have given us a challenging instance boss we had to defeat ALONE with our jobs to obtain the weapon for them. Each job could have a different boss to fight or the same boss, but tweaked so that it's not impossible or too easy to defeat depending on the job....that would have been pretty damn amazing if you ask me. Then when you see people with relics, you KNEW they had some sort of skill.

Mainly because are these "relic" weapons for u when your lv.50? cause isn't FFXIV suppose to end up at lv.99 in the future? when i hear relic weapons i cant help but think of the relics from dynamis in XI and should be for max lv. which is going to be lv.99. So when i see this u get relics at lv.50? I think that like o u get a relic weapon but when the cap increases a normal weapon will kick its ass. a relic weapon should be all powerful and insanely hard to get. So far from what I have seen its not hard to get at all just takes time and dedication.

These are af weapons. In the Japanese version they're simply called ジョブ専用武器 job specific weapons. It's the localization people that added the term "relic".

One thing that seems that people do not understand, is that just because are called "Relic Weapons" that doesn't mean these ones are like the "Relics" on FFXI (Even when they have the same name xD)
