Lalafell-only housing

I see no reason why us Lalafell can't have exclusive plots between the other houses in the wards.

Just a tiny weeny house. It would have a garden and space for a few outdoor objects.

Only lalafell would be able to fit through the door.

There is space for it, and Squaresoft could probably make some money from race changes.

I...actually kinda like this idea.

Just buy a plot and design it around lalafel size

I always ask for Lalafell sized items/ furnishings

They went and made assets for this with the dwarves of Tomra- it can be done again for the Lalafells of Eorzea
plus "realistically", there WOULD be items for Lalafells to make their lives easier & they would be able to build a house their size.

Right? You can't tell me this stuff doesn't already exist in Eorzea. Just add the dwarven furniture already. Not only did they already make the assets, but they even made the character interactions with them. Lalafells can /sit on the tiny chairs and /doze on the tiny beds like normal people.

Keep the food all in one store for ease of access.

Lalafells can do and be anywhere they want...as long as it's away from me.

I would love more Lalafell exclusive areas in general - tbh.

The problem is, everything with regards to housing is standardized and any changes such as this might balloon the amount of server capacity required to handle housing. Generally speaking though, I agree with the sentiment. I'd like to see houses and furnishings be scalable. I'm just not sure it is feasible.

I am willing to rent out the dog house in my backyard for a million gil a month.

That would be pretty awesome, they got the small houses for the dwarves of the 1st in Khoulsia, hope I spelled it right cause I always butcher that spelling.

Itd also be cool if one of the Biggs entered our house then while inside they changed to lala version of there character lol.

But what if somebody steps on it?

Then they have to clean their shoes.

But if its just an option to existing houses im fine, but if its plots dedicated towards them, im against. Housing is already a problem, and you dont want any race to have advantages here. Otherwise it has to be entire wards, and a ward for every race, which is quite a lot of housing suddenly. And lala popularity is already high enough that they dont need any more promotions here either. You should actualy promote the less popular ones instead.

It's just a matter of providing a smaller asset in general (which furniture SHOULD be an easy process with a competent 3D person) and allowing them to be purchased. While scaling itself in game might be a bit wonky considering how broken housing is, just providing a S size on its own should be pretty simple.

We sort of get scaling in solo mounts, to an extent, but yep, I also wonder if the brokenness of glitching and all could really mess up scaling.

Being into animation, I can imagine one of the pitfalls SE would maybe need to overcome if they wanted to do fixed-S-sized is they would need to consider some form of detection to play the most suitable sit animation for small/normal/muscledaddy sized characters. Just what might they decide could happen if a bulked out Roe or Hroth tries to sit in a lala sized armchair? What happens when they /doze? and so on.

But yeah, I'd absolutely love to see smaller furniture (well, I'd love to see Z axis placement, full scale and full rotation like we had in SL, EQ2 and Rift, but that's another thread altogether).

My vote for "please consider one day", SE.

For now, I use fake ceiling with those luminous ones, to cut the size down a lot. It and careful choice of seating helps make things feel more lala sized. I'd love more variety there though, for sure.

It still steams my clams that EQ2 has every house item scalable to the point you can make anything absurdly large or a tiny trinket you can put on your table but XIV throws a fit if you try to clip two things too close, lol.

I'm not a Lalafell but it still irks me that they don't have Lalafell sized furnishings. When I go into my fc friend's room, I should feel big! the little table and chair should make me feel uncomfortable! It's her room it should fit Her!
