I am wondering about the viability of introducing an eatery/food stall on the island, as we have both produce and animals to use. As a foodie myself, I would love to see this implemented in some form.
You would be able order and consume food that the mammets make. (Maybe they can get a certain NPC over as the head chef) in order to get IS exclusive buffs. For example:
Lost Mutton Soup: "Double materials gotten via gathering for 30 mins"
Fried Chocobo Rice: "Double running and swimming speed for 30 mins"
Chops of Paradise: "Increase probability of catching rare animals by 25% for 30 mins"
I can at least see the additional gathering buff being an incentive. If the 7.0 visual overhaul in the future includes improvements to the food models, it would be a bonus too.
Welcoming further discussion on this.

A restaurant/eatery would make no sense on an island with one resident and extremely rare visitors that would make use of its services.
Enlarging the Cozy Cabin to include a kitchen would make a lot more sense (and don't forget adding a bedroom where mammets wouldn't always be staring at you).
And I'd rather have some prime Auroch burgers over a dodo burger. Dodos are for eggs. -

It'd be a building with multiple usages.
or in this case a place to cook a variety of foods, which could easily scale up and down depending on the needs.
Slightly off-topic. the saunas description says water hot enough to sear off impurities[or skin] so honestly it's the mammets island, we just give it some reason to function in a faster way than normal.
but we'll see what the next level of how far they'll be willing to go with the island will be when it updates.
may not go so far now, but Maybe in a big patch or future expac we'll see such additions, or not. -
