Booted from game and can't login via launcher.

Got kicked out in the middle of trying to farm Eden's Promise card.

Thanks Squeenix! You really don't want me to have that god damned card mount, do you!?

Servers didn't actually crash. Queues aren't big enough for that.

More likely a node in the network pipeline somewhere outside the physical data center failed and a bunch of people (including me) lost connection.

If the servers had actually crashed, they wouldn't be back up already, and we wouldn't be logging in. This is 100% a networking issue somewhere. An even bigger pointer to that is it effected all 3 logical datacenters for NA. a server crash that hit every single DC and hundreds of physical servers would be incredibly unrealistic.

From the sounds of it, my entire static got disconnected and we live in various countries/states in NA. From Alaska, canada, midwest. Must've been a far reaching pipe.

You'd be surprised. NA backbone is owned by like 2 companies. It was likely a node close to the data center but not in it. One of my friends didn't get DC'd and hes in Florida.

The servers are all in one physical location, so even if you aren't from the same area geographically, its entirely possible you get routed through the same node at some point before it hits the data center.

Logged in through launcher but queue is now at 1000+ for a server that typically has no queue or a very small queue. I wonder what caused the servers to go down like that.

OK I'm glad I'm not the only one I guess. I had just got in a msq roulette on my tank job with a party that said they were stuck for a while without a tank, right before I pull the boss I get DC'd =[. I guess here's hoping that they got DC'd also so they're not waiting on me or another tank when half the the sever got kicked =/

Wait so you guys are also having the message on the launcher that "A technical issue has occurred. Try accessing the site again. If the issue has not been resolved, please contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Center."?

Edit: Just managed to log back in. Odd. I wasn't even playing in an NA server, I was playing on my main...

I got this error but I closed and reopened the launcher several times until I was able to log in. There's a queue now to actually enter the world though.

'-' Thankfully there wasn't one for me. But my friend who's going through NG+ didn't even notice anything. No lag spike, nothing, just me redballing in front of him. This was a very strange crash. But, again, what I find stranger is that I'm seeing most people say this while being from NA, but I'm playing in EU currently. And it happened to me as well. So like Lenneth said, it wasn't our servers that borked.

Likely to be expected during a 14 hour live stream, it's not hard to believe some script kiddies will be trying to get internet-points by DDOSing the game.

Definitely not alone.
This is the fourth disconnect I've had in the past 3 days or so via 20002 error, all the while my internet connection itself remains unaffected. And each time, the queues are like 200-400+ when I get back in. So it's definitely widespread, even if not full-server wide. My wife always gets disconnected at the exact same time, too, and she plays on Crystal like me (Diabolos). I'm Tired :((

Yeah, and the 2002 error is back as well. Been booted from queue twice, once putting me back 400 places. If it happens again, I'm just going to call it for the night. Just want to get in and get the gator on my island. :\

Was idling in Mor Donuts watching the Live Letter and got booted. Had a 400ish queue when I tried to log back in.

Still boots me from NA every time I try to enter. I m just gonna level my EU account. That seems to be working. Also, I have a friend from JP and says they had no issue. This is a US issue only. Too bad.

You're probably one of the luckier ones.

In the same DC & world, myself and my friend was in mid of leveling roulette got booted then had to fight through 700+ queues when we try to log back in. But a few of my own FCmates didn't notice anything at all.
