Just hopped on and Primal - Excalibur has an 800 player queue??
Also don't try to meme and say it's a heavy populated server lol the queue is the usual like "32" no matter when you log on lately. Just wondering what happened or if they got DDOS'd

all primal servers crashed, enjoy the que cause i've already been disconnected 4 times while sitting in it
Entire NA DCs just died momentarily.
Crystal crashed as well.
Ye Exodus went down twice waiting to log on
Zalera went down as well.
Famfrit also went down. I was disconnected three times. I'm currently on character select screen waiting in a long que to get back in.
I saw this on pingplotter, but I wasn't watching it when it happened so I couldnt tell if it was my flaky internet or ffxiv being down. But until now I didn't see anyone complaining. Guess that answers it for me!
What I was playing at the time didn't tell me I disconnected so I was confused.
same goes on aether midgarsormr i waited 400 people queue and crashed down again i successfully logged back after a 2nd time but i wonder if i will crash again
I join back in and it pushes me out after 2 min... what the actual flipping fuck.

DARAPnet, the origin of the Internet, was designed to keep delivering military CC&I during a global nuclear war.
It wasn't designed to support MMOs or e-commerce.
And that's why, for example, exabyte-scale DDoS attacks are a thing.
Seems we're having a ddos attack.
Was kicked in my garden 450 queue and when i got back in kicked again. This was on Mateus. Switched to the EU and they seem to be fine here.
WoW is getting hit too, apparently. Definitely not localized to FF XIV. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't a DDoS attack.
