What is everybody's thoughts on a Beast-master type class for another physical ranged class? I've just seem this type in different MMORPGs and they are usually interesting to play. It's not even knew to the franchise really.

I think if they were to add Beastmaster it'd be another limited job like BLU. However, I'd rather they take a serious look at current job design and take player feedback seriously before adding any new jobs.
Being realistical will probably be a new caster job and the second scouting armor melee job. We just got Dancer on ShB so its very unlikely to get another so fast, and they ALWAYS add a melee job but since we have 4 tanks already the most reasonable would be to make another scouting armor user
Beastmaster(probably a Tank), Mystic Knight(Magic Fencer), some form of DoT Mage since I think they did that to Summoner on purpose.
But they should probably focus on job balance first.
I'll always push for Necromancer using DoTs and Dark Arts.
Casters and Healers still need their edgelord option.
My bet are grenadier with some chemist lore for phys dps and necromancer for Magic dps
Honestly if we had Beastmaster I'd personally would prefer a limited job with a Pokemon like mini game.
Square Enix already did a few with Dragon Quest Monster Joker for example.
A job with an Arbalete would definitely interest me.

They said they won't do 2 dps again. Since EW had sage, one new job will very likely be a tank. As for dps, either caster or phys ranged. Considering that NIN doesn't share armor stats, I would bet on phys instead of caster, but I wouldn't be surprised if they changed stat sets - there would be 5 tanks sharing same armor, they might as well make all 5 melees do the same. And when it comes to geomancers, beastmasters and others, recently they said they are considering adding something new, instead of taking jobs from other FFs. Lastly, considering they said on multiple occasions that pets are nightmare, beastmaster seems very unlikely, unless they make each beast just fancy effect, like SMN.
It's been tossed around as the next limited job for a while.
Since we're friendly with the Garleans now, I would love to have another more tech heavy job. I always wanted to be able to wield those forearm mounted guns
I'd be more keen on Puppetmaster or Mammeteer as a ranged job.
The Mammet itself could be the weapon, which is sent out much like Sage's Noulith's.
Beastmaster would fit better as a limited job.
Can we just do ranger with a crossbow?
Just make their hardest hitting ability make them stop for a moment and aim (cast bar) so they keep their identity skill and can justify sitting at the top of the phys range dps dog pile.

I would personally love to see Beastmaster as a full job that uses a whip and shares scouting gear with ninja. I understand that the Dev's hate pet classes but they are fun and a large amount of players would enjoy it and it wouldnt necessarily be that hard to accomplish if they dont overthink it. If not that maybe a grenado that kinda acts like Rikku's mix ability from 10. We've seen beastmasters in game already with the Empire so lore wise it would fit. I also think this expansion might be the one where we get 2 dps. I would bet a magical and a physical ranged. The tanks and healers are pretty well balanced with 4 and 4, yes there are issues within each role. But there are only 3 full casters and 3 Rphys, so adding 1 of each together will help balance them. Ranged Physical as a whole has needed a rework overhaul as it is.
They definitely need to rework the whole physical range DPS job category before even thinking about adding a new one, but any job that can wield a whip or a crossbow would be fine with me (but the latter could maybe be too similar to MCH).
Speaking the truth.
IMO physical range should have more survival tools to assist the party.
Rework Warden's Pean to protect against curable status but also reduces damage taken from certain type of damage (dots for example)
Bring back bishop that has its own HP bar and uses it to shield an ally or the whole group.
We could even get "Shield" Physical Range and "Healing" Physical range.
Dancer and Bard could have strong healing options while Machinist could have pure mitigation or shields.
One man can dream.
Puppetmaster and Mammeteer will be my options. Plus they been giving hints for puppetmaster with mammets. Even with the Ameliance quest. No spoilers. I’m hoping for a puppet master type job next expansion.
I sincerely believe that the next two jobs will be a caster job and something that uses scouting gear, since casters haven’t had a new non-limited job since Stormblood and the latter only currently applies to Ninja.
Piemaster, Combat Confectioner.
Specializing in buffs (Hunger, Hyperglycemic, LastSliceIsMine) and debuffs (Distraction, Drooling, Molasses).
Attacks start with Croissants, gets "Cream Pie" at L70 and "Serious Creme Pie" at L100.
Unlocked by any DoW/DoM + Culinarian @ L60; not a limited job, thankyouverymuch.
This tier just added 5 new ranged phys jobs, monk, ninja, dragoon, samurai and reaper

I genuinely hope we get no new DPS in 7.0 just to balance out a bit the roles in need for queues
If there is however, something to go with Scouting armor is likely, like a Fencer, Thief, Kunoichi (Think ninja but Dual Kamas/Giant Shuriken oriented maybe?) or even a Whip class
And my personal Copium would be adding a Jousting lance + Shield tank, big Monster Hunter vibes
