Things I Wanna See Added In Island Sanctuary

I'm not sure if there is a megathread for Island Sanctuary so I thought I'd make my own for things I want to be added.

1 : Building campfires in the wild.

I'd love the idea of having multiple hangout spots that we camp in with friends that are outside of our main base. Could have a tent and a radio to put music on that has the same effect of the radios in garlemald. Maybe have access to some small things that we do in our base.

2 : Blocked Path

Having something in view that is blocked off by a huge rock or a tree log until we get the right tool to break it and explore. Would love to explore caves and other places on the island outside of just the open wild that we put in the work to reach. It is a feature in most life sim games.

3 : Utilizing The Beach

Building things at the beach for us to sit in and relax. It's pretty empty there and would be nice if we can place things in there. Even if it's just the beach right next to our base.

4 : Animal Feeder

Having to feed animals one by one or pay for each one to be fed is a weird design choice for me. Especially when watering crops is a lot easier and can be done by itself when it's raining. A feeder that we put food in for the animals to eat would be nice. Could be multiple ones that we build later. At least won't have to chase the animals around to feed them.

5 : Fishing

This is probably something that's coming in a future update but, I'd like for it to be a new mini game for fishing. As adding the way normal fishing is would kinda be boring.

6 : Interactable Objects

Interacting with objects in the buildings we make. Something like us holding a box in the workshop if we click on it or, idle animations for each building like that. Would give us something new for each building we make.

7 : Climbing

And I'm not referring to just climbing ladders in the buildings which I also want, but also equipment we can craft to climb up high places. I know we have flying now so it doesn't matter but, once we have a different zone that would be a cool way to explore. Even if there are set spots to do that in.

8: Exploration

I want more exploration content. Hidden secrets that require some jumping around.. maybe random hidden chests that have currency that you get once since it'll be tedious to farm chests, hidden rare materials, maybe a tool to glide when jumping from high places to reach certain areas.. will be useless once we get flying but still a fun thing to have.

9 : Gathering with friends

I wish I could help friends gather things on their island. Maybe have a system to let someone you are friends with or your EB at least to help with your island. I love gathering and would help my friends to get the mats for their workshop but I can't.

10 : Portable Orchestrion Player

I know the dev team stance on this in all content but, it could work well as an island only feature. Being able to chill and gather while playing the music we collected. The idea of the orchestrion player at the base is neat but, I wanna listen to stuff while gathering without tabbing out to go to youtube since I already have the music with me in game.

I'll come back to this thread to add more later. Would love to see what other people have in mind for things to be added.

Once the full cropland and pasture are unlocked, you can make mammet tools that will let you hire the mammets to tend both for you.

I would like to add some QOL to the mammet services in the form of a "Collect All" button.

Gimme all the stuff at once.

I just want an instanced house that I can use furnishings with on the island.

I'm aware of that. But you gotta do that per animal so it'll be a bit costy if you have a full pasture. Would be nice to have a feeder that we build later on that we may still pay for daily but you don't have to do it for each animal with the mammet.

That actually would be a nice QoL. I know mammets can collect that stuff if you assign them to work on them but, would be nice to have an option to pay seafarer's cowrie to collect everything if we still want to do the plant watering process since I enjoy that.

For the beach could turn it into a resort similar to Costa del Sol.
For a cave, could go to where you can get rock salt at the beach and start going into the cave that's already there.
What about your very own "Island Hammock" which is basically a swing between 2 palm trees, not to mention to have an "Indoor Hammock" and "Outdoor Hammock" whilst they're at it for regular house.

There's plenty of stuff to add to Island Sanctuary in future and things that can expand on stuff already there.

I love the hammock idea! That would be super cozy to have. I hope they at least let us put outdoor furniture at the beach or something and build a place like costa.. not as big tho.. maybe a summer shack that we can put furniture in too. Love your ideas here!

Hope they take as many feedback as possible. I legit just came back to the forums to give feedback on it.

I'd like gathering to feel more impactful. Whacking hundreds of nodes for 1 item each is soul destroying, in comparison to nodes out in the world that offer 5+ items each.

Would be neat if there was a chance of bonus items, maybe a 50% chance at +1 of the basic item and a 20% chance at +1 of the unlocked item per node. That little RNG would make it feel slightly more rewarding.
Throw in a 1% chance at the rare items you can currently only obtain from Granaries while you're at it.


The ability to place Workshops, Granaries and Landmarks in any position would be nice too. It feels too restrictive having only four positions to put your landmarks in. The Otter Fountain for example would fit much better on the ground floor opposite the cabin.

I agree with you. I was disappointed that we couldn't gather the rare items even if they were at a low rate. Hopefully with more updates the tools we make will let us gather more. I want to gather 999 of each item but in its current state it's a bit much.

Definitely this. Let us multi-gather on each node like we can out in the "real world". It would be really cool if they'd add the possibility of getting something like Gatherer's Boon if you gather the items on the appropriate DoL as well.
