Turning Rare Drops into Materia

Dear SE,

I love the fact that you released some "rare" materia that can be gotten from weapons from Ifrit and Moogle. Since these drops are really rare, why let these items be turned into Dexterity III? That just makes all the effort put into getting the item pointless. Please let these items be turned into the "rare" materia only. Seems like it should work that way.

I was so pissed when I got Dex III from my harpoon. Like wtf? I put so many hours into getting it and it turns into that? Lol good thing I was in a non chalant mood when that happened.

I'd be okay with "Primal drops only will turn into Tier IV materia", I think. You might still get something that's pants, but at least it'll be tier 4 pants.

Hold up. Wasn't Healer's Hand introduced in this wave of new materia?
I'm been getting plenty of that without having to spiritbond my duplicates.

Is there any evidence that these weapons turn into the fancy materia? I figured that the new materia comes from gear types, not primal weapons themselvse.
I also assumed that turning them into materia was just an easy way to get rid of duplicates so that players feel like they're not being screwed over - not something you should actually be aiming for :confused:

No, Healer Hands' has been ingame forever. New materias comes from primal weapon or raid gears.
