Island rare spawn catch rates?

Used 15 nets on the gobble and then he scampers off. Seriously that’s half an hour of farming for literally nothing.

rng gonna rng. not much you can do about it.

Some are more difficult to catch than others. Many of the 15 rares I have so far were 1-swipers. Others like that little yellow cob, took 5 nets really fast to get him.

What would figuratively nothing look like?

By all means, let me throw rocks at them first. I've got a few hundred Island Stones.

I usually get them in one to three tries, but I'm not yet to the big ones.

Atm the one's that is giving me trouble is the dodo of paradise. Guess rng isn't on my side.

Safari Zone, huh? We do have both rocks and apples, and we're not allowed to battle them first.

I got all the rare save the Paissa which I haven’t tried yet due to my schedule since I unlocked flying. The most nets I’ve used was 5 on the Gobbue and on Twinklefleece. Make sure you are always behind them when you use a net.

I used 3 on goobbue then it ran off, the next time it spawned only took 1 net

There may be some that are more rare to appear (such as those based on weather). We have an entire linkshell of people calling out when these rare animals pop and reporting back (hopefully truthfully) about their catch rates. Ones that took me and wife 30 tries took other people 3. Ones that ran away from other people many times, were caught first try, first net by us. That doesn't prove anything though.

But I bet if someone did track this across a few hundreds players, we'd probably find that the catch rates are similar.

They really need to add some rng protection or some alternate way to increase catch rates. I have been awake for every Twinklefleece and alligator spawn and still nothing this is ridiculous.

There's nothing wrong with rare spawns not only being rare but hard to get.

We're barely 2 weeks into the content. It's good that some players still have goals to work toward instead of going "got everything, now what?"
