It was a difficult thing to achieve in the first place. It can ONLY work in 1v1.
Me and a few others seemed to have noticed a huge difference in queue's after hitting Gold. Fine streaking and climbing through Bronze and Silver to hit a loss streak after Gold. Only hard carry jobs seem to have climbed the ladders after that. In my experience, I haven't been put in any Gold matches that I can remember with other Gold's. It's always:
-1 Gold w/ 4 Bronze/Silver vs. 1 Gold w/ 4 Bronze/Silver
- 1 Gold (me) w/ everyone else in the game being Bronze/Silver
- 1 Gold w/ 1 Unranked & 3 Bronze/Silver vs. 5 Bronze/Silver
Normally whoever gets the Unranked loses since they get bulled by the ex-Crystal's in Bronze/Silver that are sometimes 2-3 on the same team.
I don't think I've been in a single game with 1-2 other Gold's on my team yet despite queue'ing throughout the entire day.
It seems like climbing in gold isn't a question of if you're better than other people in Gold directly, but can you carry harder than you did before. The teams I've had for the last 2 days are more gapped in skill and blowouts than I experienced in Bronze and Silver.
theres no real reason to play CC when you get the crystals from other modes

i like cc i think it is fun. its not to be taken seriously though, even "ranked". this games delay is like 3 seconds. when i have resilisnce active and then get stunned or root again anyways, we have a major problem. only cheating should really be taken seriously (and banned)
yes it is dumb, but i would really only complain about it if the game was ultra responsive. the tick rate in this game is its own CC.
also when i said "i think cc is fun" i was referring to the game mode not the crowd control. CC in games is never fun, i think its lazy balancing.
Indeed, it appears that if you hit Gold, that's it. RNG locks you down hard with the beautiful new MMR making any attempt to climb a joke. CC is complete and utter hot garbage with the current issues. Abandon hope all ye, who wanted new plates.
Last season the matchmaking was goofy sometimes, but more often than not I matched with comparable players (all bronze, all silver, all gold, etc.). This season, though? Wow. It's been strange.
I earned the season rank 25 mount reward last night, and what a journey this has been. Every single match has had players of wildly disparate ranks. For instance, I matched on a team of all golds against a team of all bronze except one silver. It was a stomp in our favour, of course. (They didn't get a single kill and we pushed the crystal to the end immediately.)
I have no idea what the developers did to the matchmaking. While the queue times appear to be faster, the actual matching is outright bizarre.

And remember ppl bein tryhard serious with sayin “Its all a matter of skill...“ and “Its absolutely NOT luck...“ or “No no, the matchmakin is allright its all ur fault...“?

Haven't noticed anything else about the matchmaking other than that the lower rankings have very wide margin for matchmaking :p
I wish that I can act all surprised. I just don't have the energy to fake it. Classes needing to be around a 50% win rate? Teams needing to be around a 50% win rate in general? That's literally the same reasoning I've heard from Riot before they updated their matchmaking on Wird Rift months ago. To me, this situation is not a coincidence.
It's actually worse than that since they reset Plat+ players down to Bronze 3 as well. So people just getting started are getting matched against people who are high high elo. I signed in right after patch and tried to queue pvp early just to see and I was fighting people I knew were in the top 100 previous seasons the first few days. There's a lot of new players and Gold-Plat even that are getting exposed to people with polished high end play and it's making most matches blowouts. I liked the delay of 1 tier like what they did at Season 2 because this bullies new ppl and causes frustration due to team comps and skill levels varying widely. In previous seasons, you could carry as most jobs against low elo, but now, even if you could've carried your team, if there's a diamond/crystal on the other team, now you have opposition to that carry that you didn't have before, and if they're on a more significant/impacting job, you could flat out lose. If you're a crystal bard (what i main normally) and I get placed against a crystal ninja, there's nothing I can do to stop said ninja from bullying all the bronze's on my team and creating a mismatch I can't carry through, which is the "Gold wall" that most people including me have experienced. Bronze & Silver feel somewhat similar to previous seasons, albeit more competitive, but instead of a paradise of decent players only, Gold has turned into a 3rd elo hell where it seems matchmaking wants you to carry significantly harder with Unranked and Bronze on your team. And so it almost forces you to tryhard/play meta just to climb through that specific tier.

Great changes. Has really improved the mode for the better.
I wish I could say it was possible to farm the salt plains for Crystal, but alas, I cannot escape the Gold Loxx.
If only I could use the copious amounts of gil from crafting the new gear to buy a pre-made team of champions. They do it in sports, why not esports?!
