spider mount yes
spider tank mount YES!
I had a hairy spider in wow we need some for sure.
NO. Ten million times NO.
Ten million and one times YES
Spiders are pretty cool and serve a very valuable purpose in regards to dealing with insects and other pests. I'd also like to see some sort of spider mount added to the game.
Maybe it could fly via a pair of web gliders it makes to fly? :3
Would you ride it somewhere on it's back, or wrapped in webbing in it's mouth?
Mao wants Tachicomas.
Tarantula mount, you say? Guess it's time to put together a Haachama glam.
Spiders are cute. So yes! :)
Cheers
That would be amazing, to have a tarantula mount :D!
I’ll support any new mount as long as it ain’t cockroach mount.
Guild Wars 2 almost did exactly what you described (spider mount that could climb cliffs), but early during beta testing some people complained about being scared of spiders, so the mount was replaced with a giant bunny that could leap up cliffs. :(
Never gonna happen, they changed Sage's icon due to trypophobia(it didn't trigger me at all, at least), there's no way they'll put a hairy ass giant spider mount when arachnophobia is so common.
You might get an Yarzon if you're lucky
Only if I am given a giant rock to smash your mount with
If you willingly want a giant hairy spider on your screen.. I don't think you have arachnophobia.
And as someone with arachnophobia, no thank you. I don't need 30 giant spiders sitting around the quest NPC I need to get to or lurking around corners in populated areas.
we basically have it with the weapon minion. just make it real size and rideable and bingo.
I hate spiders, but if people want a spider mount there is no reason for them not to be able to get and use one.
I actually do. I can deal with tiny spider no smaller than a the hole of a sewing needle. Any bigger and I freak out internally. Took me till adult hood to finally grow a pair and start actually dealing with my phobia. While can't stand touching or killing them (cus its gross feeling or seeing them splattered), I at least can catch them and toss em outside or in a toilet to be flushed.
Video games, I stopped being overally scared of spiders on them after having to deal with them in Skyrim. Those f*ckers were creepy as hell! But after awhile of sniping them from a distance with my bow, I stopped being so scared of them and started enjoying taking them out from afar. Though eventually, I had to deal with them close range. Not a fun time, but that definitely helped me get over my fear of getting too close to them in video games.
So yeah. I basically learned to deal with my fear of spiders instead of letting them turn me into a 6 foot tall screeching man child. Again, they still freak me out, but I learned to deal with it and learned not to fear them in video games. It also especially helps in the latter to remind yourself that they aren't real and can't touch you. :3
If you have controlled it it's not a phobia anymore or it potentially never was. It is an aversion or simply a fear.Quote:
What is a phobia?
A phobia is an uncontrollable, irrational, and lasting fear of a certain object, situation, or activity. This fear can be so overwhelming that a person may go to great lengths to avoid the source of this fear. One response can be a panic attack. This is a sudden, intense fear that lasts for several minutes. It happens when there is no real danger
People use phobia wayyy too lightly nowadays.
I'm not gatekeeping your problem you overcame, that's awesome and it's cool you're dealing with it. But saying "I have arachnophobia, but bring on the spiders" is .... a very strange comment to make.
Thank you. :)
Though I do still think I have a phobia of spiders, again, I just learned to keep the fear and distress down so I can deal with the freaking creepy crawly so it doesn't go skittering off somewhere where I can't see or reach it. As a little kid and even a teenager, that would keep me up at night until I'd finally pass out from exhaustion. Though if a whole dozen of them came out of nowhere, I'd be the first person in my house to abandon ship and go running across the street in my underwear. xD
I only brought up my phobia because I knew people were gonna start coming in to this thread and saying "no" in droves because of said phobia. Everybody has fears, traumas and whatnot, but something shouldn't be denied to be added in a game just because of a few people have problems with it. Make some sort of censor option for them and call it a day. But let everybody else have fun. :D
That's just sad. Would have been nice if the devs gave players the option to pick between either the rabbit or spider and the people who still didn't want to see the spider mounts in game when other players use them could have had some sort of censor option that changed another player's spided mount into a bunny on their end.
Lol, would be hilarious though see a rabbit crawling up the side of a wall or shooting webs out of its backside that kind of option on. x'D
Actually, that wouldn't be a bad idea. Having certain mounts be intractable with eachother would be a great way to have players interact with eachother.
A flaming meteor mount smashing another player's spider mount would be both awesome and hilarious. xD
Tachicoma mounts forever!!!!

NOOOOOOOO! For the love of eorzea nooooooo please noooooooo. The closest we have is the omega mount and let it stay there. Will literally quit the game over it. No thanks.
Sure.
After they change the SGE icon back to supposedly being a problem to trypophobic players.
Which was a vastly less common phobia compared to fear of spiders.
If They Make It Look Cute Yes Otherwise Spooky O_o
One that is big enough that we can have eight people riding each of its legs.
If it's extra hairy. The ones with long needle legs are gross.
