I really don't want to have to die 50+ times just to do a quest series. The Barbariccia one was the worst so far, I think I spent more time dead than fighting.
If they were optional, I'd skip them all.

The most I've wiped in MSQ trial was Elidibus one - wiped twice.
no idea what you're on about.
Too few in my opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
theres like 2
there was legit only 1 dungeon and trial added in the msq that is required for this patch, what are you even smoking?
Skill issue.
I am ever so slightly guilty of being on the forums, but could've at least put a spoiler tag. I was not aware that Scarm gets shafted into Anima status.
My guy, you can do trials while blindfolded and only a quarter of the way awake. If anything at all, we need more.
MSQ content is supposed to be easy so chances are you are doing something wrong if you die too much
Go play an MMO with zero trials then! No need to stay if it isn't what you like, right?
Well, it is the first day of new patch. People are still learning even if it is just a normal-difficult trial. A bit of trial and error and you will be good. If you wipe 50 times... maybe a disband is in order?
Let's remove dungeons, trials, raids on the next patch.
It's the first day. Of course it will be difficult because it's new and a lot of people don't know what to do yet.
I officially request a Troll button, flag, sign or whatever on the forums.
Srsly...its gettin out of hand.

It's not I don't like the trials, it's the waiting for other players sometimes, especially to continue the story line. They are making dungeons playable with NPC's to avoid long waiting times, so why do I need to wait for trials? Makes no sense to me.
go play WoW then
Well, you know... Git gud
I guess ur a new player, so we should be kind and explain the problem to u.
To "make stuff playable" with NPCs, they need to fit it to NPC behavior.
Its one of the reasons, the reworked A Realm Reborn dungeons became that easy.
If im wrong on this and smbdy knows more/can add more info, plz correct me.
So they'd need to make the trials even more easy as they are alrdy.
I dont think we'd want that to happen.
If u have troubles with qeue length cause ur playin Damage Dealer, i can only encourage u to find some Healer/Tank friends.
That will help alot.
Not to mention that playin Healers/Tanks urself could be helpful, not only for u but many others too.
U dont have to fear anythin, ppl are kind and wont flame the heck out of u if u fail with stuff.
In the end, the learnin is the fun stuff for most of us.
And if ppl start hatin hard -> kickvote them, if they arent alrdy bein corrected by some veteran player.
Sometimes its very helpful to ask for help in open chat.
Many ppl in this community will be glad to help u out.
I cant count the times i've ran Sastasha etc, just for the helpin heck of it.
And cant count the times better players helped me out with harder stuff.
Just ask, maybe it will also take some time.
But ppl WILL come to help u, i am sure.

I cleared it in 2 tries with a full newbie group. Try to improve maybe? :p
10/10 fight
I'll be that one, even 1 in the MSQ is too many.
Leave that stuff for side content. With how literally 98% of any new content being made is stuck behind finishing the MSQ it really shouldn't have as much long and tedious additions to it added in for literally no reason but to add padding to the quest count.
I've still yet to finish EW because of how dang long it is. I've even lost all interest in the story. Square has always been great story tellers. It's just that they're some of the worst at pacing I've ever seen in story telling. Things just DRAG far too much and far too often for me to give a darn. If this was a book most people wouldn't finish it because of how boring and lengthy it would be.
If they left trials to just side content then all we'd be left with are the brain-dead dungeons which would just kill even more peoples interest. The story is phenomenal but the gameplay needs to be there as well, otherwise this game would just be a glorified visual novel. And I say that as someone who LOVES visual novels.
I ate much dirt during that fight but we got it finished in one go. I have to credit my team mates for that. They seemed to know what they were doing and were able to help me work past my difficulties with my condition. I wouldn't want to try that fight on Ex though. I think I will leave that for the better players to handle. I hope Ex gives players decent loot for the hell they will have to go through.
Try pressing buttons next time?
Should be more tbh
You mean something like this?

that's not too many trials.
That's one trial where you die repeatedly.
I loved the trial, sure my df group wiped twice clearing it because we were all new but it’s a good fight
Trial was pretty simple tbh. I died once only because I tried to walk out of the circle I was tethered to, then got pulled back and ate two aoes at once.
My only gripe about trials now all being in msq rather than in side stories is that you gotta do almost all msq to do the new trial/ex, rather than being able to jump in quickly right after patch, and then do the msq later with calm.
OP, at the end of the day this is a MMO, do you expect to never have to do group content and maybe never learn how to do combat? But then even in a single player you gotta learn to fight, even more so cause nobody will carry you.
I'm a casual player (I have done 0 current savage and 0 ultimate duties) and I haven't struggled with 6.2 trial.
As some have said. Yours is a skill issue that shouldn't be a big deal at this point if you were learning fight mechanics than zerging the boss.
Good thing the devs are adjusting the difficulty of ARR & HW dungeons and trials to raise the average skill of players (especially the new players).
I'm not gonna lie, this new trial has TONS of unavoidable aoe AND very little space to move. I"ll bet the hair mechanics also made Melee Dpses cry a little on the inside. Your healers need to be wide awake for this fight. Hell, as SMN, I actually popped my Aegis shields during her multi-hit aoes just so my healers would have less trouble worrying about me and focus on other teammates didn't have mitigation.
Is this what it's like to play content on launch? It's a new feeling for me. :D
