It's fun the first few times, then it just gets annoying and it lasts for a month too, dont see what's wrong with at least putting it under "ambience" instead of under sound effects, which means if you want to mute it you have to mute the entire game, or at least have some sort of toggle.

It definitely would be nice to have a further breakdown for sound effects. I don't want to hear macro sounds but I'd like to be able to hear sounds from enemies and the rest of the game.

Some people don't like fireworks, no clue why you all have to be rude about it. ɿ(｡･ɜ･)ɾⓌⓗⓨ？
I don't mind them in-game but I find the super annoying IRL (along with people fire off their guns and cannons).
Maybe an option that turns off season event effects could be added? (Fireworks, snow in wards, etc.) ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ

I'm just gonna be that person... Why even post this? You know it will NEVER happen, so you're just posting to complain. Maybe just play the ferkin game ppl, and stop complaining about EVERY SINGLE THING that doesn't quite fit into your idea of how it should be. I mean, I'm not defending the devs in any way but they have enough to do bringing this 3 legged horse of a game engine into the 21st century, nevermind sound options so granular you get to decide which birds are chirping in the Shroud..

This is the worst part of the community, the people who come into any discussion where there's a valid criticism or complaint about the game and demands people shut up about it because this game is supposedly perfect.

Oh I'm so sorry, the game is absolutely perfect in every way, how dare I suggest to add fireworks to ambiance sounds so I can mute it easily or make it a toggle

This comment always makes me laugh when it's posted in a gaming forum. A forum that is specifically here for us to share our thoughts, complaints, desires, fluff, etc that is related to the video game we all play. That video game that we all pay real money towards monthly, just for some silly entertainment.

You obviously have enough leisure time to come into a post to complain about a simple QoL request being made, which is all fine and dandy, you spend your time how you want, but then you claim the QoL request is the first world problem.........I can only hope you see how ridiculous that is. :P

The purpose of the forums here is to give honest criticism and feedback about the game so that it can be browsed by the community team to get a general sense of how people feel about certain issues or interest for certain features. It's the whole purpose for people to say things they want or point out things that suck. This is how things get changed in this game. It's not a first world problem to give feedback.

Sound is so scuffed in this game that it still randomly cuts out til a client restart and your priority is a sound effect you only hear during certain times of the day in certain locations.

Yes it is, one issue doesnt cancel the other, I find having to hear fireworks all the time pretty obnoxious, just like I find having the sound cutting out obnoxious, as I said, one issue doesnt cancel the other.

My point is, they can't even fix the sound cutting out problem, they're certainly not going to fix something that really isn't broken.

So your solution is to come in and throw a tantrum and derail a suggestion thread because you don't want someone else to be able so suggest a quality of life fix? I'm not following the line of reasoning here.
You're not a developer, people suggest changes they'd like to see all the time and the developers don't do it if it's not possible, they don't need you to decide what is and isn't possible before they look at it.

Am aware, still think it's funny and ironic though to give someone lip for anything hurting them bad when this thread was literally made because OP can't deal with fireworks noises/ignore them like everyone else does lol. I spent 8+ hours in the game yesterday and maybe heard them three times..?

Maybe it's cause I don't stand around in afk hubs all day and play the game but it's pretty easy to avoid them/tune them out.

It is a solution and also provides an immersive experience - i.e just /doze into bed until 6AM Eorzean Time.

I think that's rather gameplay enhancing to fully able to enjoy the world they've created and built. Better yet, enjoy it with the perfectly fine housing system to really immerse yourself with feeling at home. :)

Many people sadly just cant accept that the game isnt 100% perfect and that some quality of life improvements can be made.

As if a toggle or putting it under ambience is going to take time off that they put on raids or on islands.
