Steam Launcher not working

Pretty much the title. Anytime I try to log in I get an error saying "An error has occured. Please try again later."

Thanks for forcing us to go through steam, Squeenix. It's great. Really.

steam auth is broken, again...

Be cool if they would have let us migrate away from Steam before they changed the authenticator. Now anytime Steam has problems I get boned.

EDIT: The issue appears to be resolving. It just started working for me and I can now log in from steam.

Same here, logged out and now can't get back in. Just let us use the PC launcher please, it works fine.

Same issue here. Was running the game when I got disconnected, now I can't log back in.

I have done following:

Changed my steam name
Reinstalled the game in steam
Tried to find this folder called ECT to delete - but i dont see such thing... some sites were recommending to do this.

Please... why is there every second time an issue with this game? I prepaid for a full year on sub and now I am starting to regretty....

Windows updated recently, wonder if it had anything to do with that?

Same issue, just let people migrate to the PC-Version or remove the authentication this is ridiculous.

Gonna add a "me too". My primary account (non-Steam) works just fine though.

Thanks for forcing Steam authentication on us SE :( (and no it's not a requirement of Steam, they make it available for use, but it's not required by them).

Just adding to the choir, have same issue. Steam gave me some error message when I logged on to Steam so guess it's connected to this issue.

yeah, my steam started in offline mode today, then when I asked it to switch to online it bugged, so I restarted PC... but then since that this is happening...
