Yay, if I am correct the server will be opened 1 hour before the reset. That means I can pick up 8 leves then goto work.
After I come back home and finished these 8 leves, I can pick up another 8.:)

That is if you are able to log in for the first hour ^^ I hope there are no crazy waiting lists like those screenshots I had seen a while back.
Me and the wife were one cycle of leves behind anyways so right before the servers shut down we went and grabbed leves. So whenever we do actually get to log back on we will have 16 to do.
don't get too excited, the timer might reset to another value
Leves all depend on how SE has the timers coded.
I have a feeling time did not stop while we where away but no way to really know until tomorrow.
I remember reading somewhere on the FFXI forums that this will end up being like a really long maintenance. I'm theorizing that time didn't stop in Eorzea, but as Xatsh said, there's no way to know until tomorrow. ^^
If time didn't stop, free anima and guardians favor for everyone!
I doubt time stopped, the timers probably work the same way a computer's clock works. Shut the computer down and when you turn it on the clock is at the right time. If time actually did stop though then timers would be all screwed up every time there is maintenance!
While that's true about maintenance Isaaru, I'm not sure how they are shut down during that time and if it's different from a full shut down like we have now. It could be the same, it might not be. You do make a good point about the computers, though I'm not sure if they work the same way gaming consoles and handheld devices do in that if you leave them unplugged entirely for too long all the settings reset.
That depends. I just saw 4:00 (PDT). Do they mean AM or PM?
Yay! Now you can kill twice as much mobs... thrilling.
That would be AM. :)
Also, regarding whether or not time went on during the downtime or not, I think there's a good chance that time, in fact, didn't keep going. During regular maintenance, the servers stay on. Hence, why time still goes on. However, with the servers being completely shut down, there's no way to know whether or not we'll all have tons of anima and/or Guardian's Favor when we log back in. As Isaaru and Arcell mentioned, it may re-adjust itself, but there's no guarantee. Hopefully they do! Full anima and Guardian's Favor for all!
24 Hour time base, baby.
ONLY 9 HOURS TO GO.
If things were shut down completely (which is likely), it's possible that time stopped. It would all depend, as someone else mentioned, on how the server clock works.
Hm yg shows all servers are online.. anyone tried to log in?
Yes, I'm aware of how a computer's clock works, but we don't know how the FFXIV software on the servers themselves works. Sure, the servers' internal clocks on whatever OS they run on top of will be the right time, but what we don't know whether or not that will translate into the time in FFXIV having passed as well. Common sense would point to this being true, but none of us know with 100% certainty. All I'm doing is saying that both options are plausible, nothing more.
I will be... But not because the anima... I'll be pissed cuz when servers went down i was fatigued on 6 jobs, weaver included. lol
If things get a reset, then guildleve timers might reset and no longer be @ 12 (gmt), and be the time the servers get back on, or even earlier. I dont know.
