Sch worst pvp healer?

When I first started to play scholar in pvp I was so happy but it leans so heavily to the team. If your team is very bad you can’t even attempt to try to at least help bring a slight chance for victory.

Seraph being stationary sucks because if your team runs off they miss the buffs and shields for a chance to comeback. Why is flight only 10y when consolation is 20y and veil is 30y. If it’s stationary then it needs huge radius for all its abilities.

Adloquium is so bad too. I understand it give buffs but come on devs. The other healers can heal 10-12k we get max 6k shield? Terrible. We have no burst no nothing but a dot that debuffs and it’s pretty weak too. If you gone keep us with the low shields then increase the buff to 15%-20% damage increase to make up for the lack of shielding power. If not then make the dot more powerful on debuff. 10% is just no bueno.

I’m so confused. Whm has 2 stacks of cure 2, cure 3 after a damage skill, protect, temperance after their fast limit break. Ast has up to 4 heals they can cast back to back with double cast 10k each time if they timing it right and op macrocosmos that can basically full heal the team if they take enough damage. Sage has kardia which heals someone everytime they cast damage spell, pneuma which not only damages but gives everyone 5 stacks of haima. Not to mention their arsenal of dps skills. As sch we have what? A terrible shield with a negligible buff on it a single dot with a negligible debuff on it.

I rather them get rid of mummification and give us protraction. Make it grant a very large shield.

I hope in 6.2 sch sees some huge good buffs to their pvp because I am now seeing why they are rarely used or seen in Crystal conflict matches.

SCH has the least amount of buttons of all the healers in PvP, I don't think it needs to lose Mummifcation to gain Protraction. I would personally say SCH needs 1 more offensive button, likely Chain Stratagem that works like Toxicon does for SGE, or maybe even an area denial ability like Shadow Flare, or even Aetherflow/Energy Drain for some more damage? SCH is definitely the worst of the PvP healers in CC, but it's not terrible and I enjoy the gameplay a lot. Adlo could use a buff too, maybe bumping the potency to 6k or 8k because the 4k it is at is pretty negligible and often times Recitation Biolysis is the superior option over a Critlo.

The current PvP SCH is a great direction for it, but it only has 6 buttons (7 if you count LB) so I think they need to lean more into SCH's attritional gameplay. Preferably I think SCH needs to be more of a nuisance to the enemy team's MP and ability to use Recuperate, and there's a lot they could do, balance not withstanding. I know the area denial thing is apart of SGE/SMN's shtick but I think Shadow Flare would work really well for SCH needing to funnel the enemy team into a certain area to maximize their ability to deploy their DoT. Even if it's just like, a minor slow and a negligible chip DoT it could do a lot for SCH's ability to influence the outcome of fights, which is definitely struggles with the most out of all of the healers.

Yeah I think sch definitely needs to gain something more. It just sucks now. When I play any of the other healers I just feel I’m doing more and am actually contributing. With scholar I don’t feel like I’m doing much of anything. I spread adlo and the shield is so weak just one attack will break it because most attacks hits for at least 5k-6k lol. I agree maybe just add another ability because for now it just can’t compete with Whm, Ast and Sge.

Eh I would be happy if you could spread mummification and it had more range this concept of going into a fight as a healer is getting old
Also having your abilities buffed from expedient is dumb unless for shields I understand Biolytic being added if that was it and the dmg was always there
Another dps skill would be good too
also your Lb is weak not saying it totally bad but in comparison its not holding a candle
If serph gave a shield that when pop did 4k dmg or as applies redirects back 2k dmg I wouldn't complain

I'll be content if Mummification has better range, can also be spread, & deals MP damage rather than toward HP on hit. Also Recitation to affect Adlo's damage increase and Biolytic damage penalty. Embrace that plague bringer identity.

Tell me you don't PvP as a SCH without telling me you don't PvP as a SCH.

A well placed SCH dot can put tremendous pressure on an opposing team and it's spread range is massive.

Not to mention the 10% increased damage Adlo brings to your team if it's spread.

Basically: Stop thinking healers are "healers" in pvp and think of them as support and you'll see where their value lies.

SCH is great when your teammates are around.

I main SCH in Diamond and Crystal tier. You're supposed to decide whether you're going to buff your team or debuff the enemy team depending on which you can spread to more people, whether your team can take advantage of it, or whether you need pressure the enemy team. LB is fine, cast it ahead of the path the crystal is going to be pushed. If your teammates are running off away from the crystal for no reason, they're bad teammates. If you use the consecutive buffs from expedient and LB in a row to buff your team and debuff the enemy at the same time with the fairy on top, the advantage is huge. 10% Dmg down+DoT+ 10% Dmg up+shield? Thats insane. Throw mummify on top of that and with a decent team, you're wiping the enemy team. Mummify has short range, but so what? Are you determined to erase every challenging characteristic of the job? Peek around corners, find angles, use it when your teammates are distracting, stop thinking you're supposed to hit 4~5 targets every time you use it. If it repels a target or two, or lets your team snipe one, that's already a big advantage.

PvP discussion just turns out to be "I'm bad at this job or PvP in general and I need the job to be buffed to my skill level so I can be decent at it."

It's not even the skills that are broken most of the time, it's stubborn preconceived notions about how a PvP job is supposed to fit into a role, or refusing to adopt a playstyle that best optimizes the job.

I was stuck at silver and gold, until I started playing scholar.
Scholar can get in and out of combat very fast, most of your skills are instant cast combos.
People will most likely try to kill you first.
With a little awareness you are very hard to kill, unless they burst or chase you to all the corners of the map.

I like to be chased by people, the more the better, the longer I hold out. The bigger chance my team will wipe the enemies out.
If you hold out long enough, you can try run back into your team and quickly buff them or debuff the enemies.
Based on your situation your can keep running or stay in the team fight.

Sprint is an OP skill, with all the free heals in the map

Haha wow I’d love to see you stream sch pvp so I can pick up some tips lol. I shield everyone for the damage up and they still be dropping like hot potatoes. Maybe it’s just my teammates aren’t good since sch heavily depends on how good your team is like paladin.

Because those people probably see "healer" on the team and think they don't have to heal themselves with is 100% the wrong attitude.

Things that bums me out: I always feel like folks see I’m a SCH and deliberately murder me with their LB. I can’t do anything about it.

The only way I can be helpful is to sit back and hope I can get a Recit+Biolysis+DT then run away until LB or Expedient comes back for another Recit+Biolysis.

Worst part, 1v1 is guaranteed death on my side while I see folks get handled by WHM and SGE.

SGE is a DPS in PvP, just like GNB.

Can't be reliant on healers too much on the way they designed current PvP because queues are not required to have a healer.
