Please Implement Alternate Methods for Card Drops from Trials/Raids

I need only one Triple Triad card to get the mount.

Unfortunately that card is Eden's Promise.

I'm playing at peak on a Friday. I have been waiting in queue for half an hour to do this fight and when I do get in, it's a 2% chance that the card will drop.

This is beyond ridiculous! Why are you doing this to your players!?

I don't think it's too much to ask that you implement a method, either through totems or something similar for people to get the insanely rare cards from these fights.

Agreed. Farming dead content with low drop rates isn't fun. It's just frustrating.

(Been there, done that, got the mount, and never want to see freaking Pharos Sirius hard ever again.)

Old content should have the trial cards moved to an NPC in the next expansion. Or at a bare minimum, make it so you can trade in tokens (10, 20 whatever) to get the card, when applicable.

SE should also consider changing 24-man cards to be only Needed by players that don't already have the card. The rest can Greed for the MGP. I can't obtain two of the same mount whistles. Even though the whistle itself isn't in my inventory, the game knows (that little checkbox on the item) that I already have it. Make it the same with cards. Leave Greed in since the card isn't unique.

I'm helping my wife finish her TT mount. She has 120ish Memoria Miseria tokens and no drop. Eden's Promise... she's somewhere north of 75 kills by now. It is absurd.

The weird thing is that they used to do that. When SB launched the level HW alliance raid cards were added to an NPC. Most of the ARR and HW dungeon/primal cards (not all, but most) could also come from NPCs or card packs, etc. In ShB they drastically increased NPC drop rates but did absolutely nothing for combat the drop rates.

I have been enjoying collecting the cards over time but now I am looking at a few I will probably not get. I do think the best thing they can do is add another way to get Cards that are locked behind Extreme trials.

I stopped a lot of the extremes a long time ago and I find the Card collecting fun and quite laid back. So please Devs give us another option :)

tbh, this would be a very nice way to get rid of some poetics when there is no real use for them. I dont care if a 5star card would even be 2000 poetics then (and maybe for the rarest have TT tokens at a cost of 1000 each, and just require 5 of them).

RNG is nearly always a horrible system when long waits are involved (like matchmaking often has for certain roles).

So there's a fine line they should walk when it comes to making cards easier to obtain. There's easier and then too easy. I can't say I agree with the poetics option. Poetics are throwaways. Most players are capped with nothing to spend them on. TT cards require you to go out of your way to get most of them. I think it should remain like that. That doesn't mean things should stay the same though. Adding an NPC for the 24-man cards from ShB is overdue. Or adding in a totem exchange (10 for the card, 20 for the card, whatever). That's all reasonable. And locking TT cards behind content (looking at you Bozja and BLU) is also fine. It forces the player to have experienced a large percentage of the game if they want to obtain all of the cards.

It would be a great thing to add to grand company seals, just like the minion (and supposedly mounts, but I have yet to see one) boxes. Not only could you get cards, but seals are a great dump for poetics and dungeon gear. So, you could pull from multiple sources.

I imagine that if you wait long enough, it may show up as one of the items you can purchase via Moogle Tomestones during the Treasure Event. I'm all for SE deciding to put that particular card into the list of treasures sometime in the future.

I obtained a Eurekan Petrel from one of those boxes, so it is possible. That might be a great place to put the cards as well.

I still think there should be expensive semi-random "bad luck protection" card packs. 250k MGP for a pack that gives a random dungeon/trial/raid drop card you don't already have.

I support this. The grind for Pharos Sirius and Eden's promise are just ridiculous. Why did they decide to make their rate so low. Even on a tank queue, it still takes 5-15mins to pop and another 10 mins to complete thanks for the long cutscenes. This is ridiculous.
