Naw. I have settled deep into the mire of Hyperion. All my friends are here, my house, and I like being able to recognize faces I've seen for years. There's history.
Transfers should open this Wednesday after the maintenance assuming nothing bad happens with data centre travel. I'll be moving over to Raiden with my main ASAP.

I know the question is for the NA community, but i'm transfering my alts to one of the new EU servers. The reasons are:
- help to build the server up;
- give more pourpose to my alts;
- receive the golden chocobo feathers and get more mounts from them;
- the exp boost til lv80;
So, I think when new servers come out it's definitely a good thing to start things anew. Maybe, I will even bring my main, if the new place feels confortable enough :)
I have also settled into Materia, Ravava, foundation housing winner. I am starting to get a good reputation as a sage and new friends call me everyday. The 100% bonus is nice, but housing won't open up anytime soon, and many items needed to make onions to grow your chocobo is locked behind said housing system. Shards, crystals are only gotten through retainers that need to be level 30 at least until housing can relieve this bottleneck of demand. Will take time for airships and submarines to get high enough levels to make a difference. Long que times, areas such as bozja, anamos, and others hard to get into and advance until server population grows. one last devastating problem is which of the new servers should you join? Which world will grow the fastest? Need to know before hand and not leave it up to random guesses. I picked Ravana because I came to the forums and asked which server are most going too? the answer was Ravana 1st, Sophia 2nd. As it turned out the forums got it right 100%.
My biggest motivation to transfer is the 100% XP bonus.
I don't have much time to play every week and I really want to level all jobs to 90 so it would essentially cut in half the time spent on that goal.
Might move an alt there but I'm tied up in Aether otherwise.
Also I wouldn't be shocked if you get hit with a wait on housing like tends to be the norm with new servers. Materia had a 2-3 month wait from what I remember. Personally wouldn't move mains over that have houses unless you're cool with potentially not having one for a while.
Nope. No reason for me to transfer(other than possibly getting a large house, but I will be fine for now with my medium personal and small FC), and none of my friends are looking to transfer away from Cact from what I've been able to tell.
what are the severs and what data centers?
The two communities I've been most heavily involved with in the past have effectively collapsed. The details aren't important but I don't have any strong ties to keep my focus on my current DC. I've been prepping one alt to make the move and will consider moving a few more. This is contingent on if existing NA worlds are migrated over and if I have any alts there.
Nope. I'm in Balmung where the party never stops.
As a NA player no for EU servers, even they add new servers for NA. The problem is still the same for me. The damn location. If they have east coast servers for NA there be chance I would move.
This is the biggest problem to me. I play in Brazil and the difference between the 2 places (EU and NA) is almost nothing nowadays. I reach 190ms as my ping on NA servers and 220ms on EU servers.
But, when I use a VPN service, I gain more responsiveness at EU servers (something around 130 to 140ms on EU servers while reaching 170 to 180ms on NA servers).
That's why I'm migrating to EU with those new servers and enjoy the incentives.
But, if they create east coast servers for NA, all this would be very different! (In my testings, this should give me 100 to 120ms only).
Sadly, they will keep things like this forcing me to play in a more discrepant time zone.
Yeah, absolutely. A lot more opportunities happen on new servers compared to the already established ones. I've already packed up my apartment for the move.
Yep. Already spent a week on Sagittarius and created a fc and just waiting on able to transfer my main so I have some funds to grab a house when those wards opens.

Currently, the North American Data Center houses three logical data centers and 24 Worlds (an 8:8:8 configuration). In order to cope with a drastic increase in player population, we are planning a two-phase major server expansion. Due to the global shortage of semiconductors, it has taken considerable time to procure server equipment, but the schedule calls for the first phase to be implemented around August 2022, with the second phase to follow in the spring or summer of 2023.
In the first phase of the expansion, scheduled for August 2022, one new logical data center will be established and four new Worlds will be added under it. In the second phase of the expansion, we plan to add four more new Worlds under the newly established logical DC, resulting in a four-logical-DC configuration of 8:8:8:8. While we had originally hoped to add all eight new Worlds at once in August 2022, the aforementioned semiconductor shortage has dictated that we introduce the upgrade in two stages. Again, we ask for your understanding and patience in this matter.
In addition to the above, we are also considering a yet-larger-scale upgrade at the time of the next major expansion (Patch 7.0). We will be sure to update you with further details regarding this as our plans take shape.
I'm just looking forward to seeing who leaves a plot open by their departure, if I don't yet have one. :D
Greg will be sad if you leave. Please think of Greg.
