I'd like to take my free move over to a new server but I don't want the system to magically die and lose my character also. Shouldn't be too much longer though, I guess.

Let them fix things up, Balmung attracted pretty much all of Aether. For real I'm hearing Aether has gone dead overnight.

Not being able to world transfer is makeing feel leftout ,forgotten . With all this stuff going on with DC travel system and no mention of world transfer system. And with 2 week limit they added to transfer ,and get the extra benfits when doing it. Hope they have courtesy to extend it for us . Please fix system soon , we are waiting .

Yeah, all my friends lvling their alts with exp bonus on new server, me waiting to transfer my lvl 28 watching as they are all double my lvl already. I hope they will extend free transfer period and time to get a bonus. Would be rather unfair otherwise.

The people leveling new alts will get the road to 80 buff until the servers lose the new status. My Materia alts are still running the bonus after 6 months.

Transferred characters lose it 90 days after they transfer.

As your alt is only level 28, and as that is not even 2 hours playing from a level 1 new character, you really, really, really should start afresh. The biggest bonuses you get by starting from level 1 and not just transferring are

* 1,000,000 gil when you reach level 30
* 15 days free gametime when you reach level 30
* Potentially months more of the road to 80 buff.

No rush. Take your time. Gotta use that Road to 80 buff on my crafting alt before getting the main to new server!

Really weird they didn't let people transfer to new servers before activating the DC travel.

I probably would if I didn't have some emotes and stuff I don't wanna have to buy again.

Also I think other difference is transferred chars get gold chocobo feathers vs silver ones on new chars.

90 days should be enough to level what I need so I don't really mind. Really at this point all I would want would be some sort of information on when we can expect it back.

I just want the service started up again so I can get myself married.

I can't find anyone interested for some reason and I'm not partaking in that creepy thread about it, so I'm starting up my second account and moving my old main to Phoenix. :P

The reasons are: the road to 80 for all those chars, the + 10 golden chocobo feathers (which will allow me to have more mounts in all of them) and the excitement of having to help a server to build up.

This waiting time is killing me with the hype... =/

Hope you did read same as me . They're giving just 2 weeks todo the transfers to new worlds . They just waisted 3 of our days to transfer . Sorry but , they sould chang this and have an apology for us . Anything other I'd find unprofessional

They literally said it's not going back up until the following:
- Cross world DC travel is stable
- New JP/EU data centers are stable

Source: After the release of Patch 6.18 scheduled on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, the Home World Transfer Service will resume after verifying that the Japanese/European data center expansions and the Data Center Travel system are stable.

Obviously something is still needing to be stabilized and it also never stated it will go back up on July 5th. Just that it will go up after July 5th. Your two weeks haven't even started yet.

Honestly I am a very upset because I want to play Ranked PvP again to blast through Season 2... But since the Rank gets reset with World Transfer I am kinda waiting until I am on a new Server, which now seems to take ages eventhough everything seems to run smoothly now. :(

Same, I did play some because the queue is full of active high ranks, but have little motivation to go furhter knowing I have to do it again.

Casual just doesn't cut it, the games are full on memes most of the time.

If they don't start transfering to new worlds in quite a few days they need truly to close housing lottery in these worlds, otherewise it would be creating unfair odds and so, so, so discriminating to people who want to take part on lottery on a wholy fresh server.

Normlay, it goes in steps.
After certifying the stability of the new worlds, they open the char transfers, but all housing areas remains closed (if you get these quests to open the housing areas at lv10, you have to travel to another world to finish them).

After this, they will keep this lock for some months (I think it's 3 months) before opening up the housing areas. The reason is for new players created there to have time to build up some amount of gil in order to compete with tranfered ones for the plots.

When Materia opened, housing wasn't available at the start. You'll most likely be waiting at least a month or two for that to exist. I forget exactly when it opened but it was definitely some months after.

I logged into Balmung last night. It is so damn packed to the point it will only load people in that are about 50 feet from you in this perfect circle. You can physically see where that circle is cause people are jam packed shoulder to shoulder. I seriously wonder how many people were literally inside me with how packed that is. And not inside me in a fun way...just literally occupying the same space.

I think I'm done with Uldah for a while...I hear it's calmer in Gridania so I might hang there. I swear if I hear that stupid laugh that gets recycled over and over when multiple people stand close together I will rip out my eardrums.

With the looming deadline of the PvP event, its quite disgusting that they havnt opened up world transfer to allow people to form and confirm their team (pvp stuff gets reset when transfering).

I was on Balmung a few times yesterday for a hunt train, some FATEs and a little marketboard browsing. I went through Gridania as I usually do without problem. More or less the normal crowds I'll see when using world visit.

They are right with that assumption though. SE made the comment that they will activate Home World Transfer again once all worlds and the DC Travel System are stable. If they hotfix it at the start of next week it's not very unlikely that they'll reactivate the transfer AFTER that.
