Nope it's some glitch some graphic cards do, my start screen is like that on HD5770 card but previous nvidia card was the regular white screen.

I think if you manually override the anti-aliasing method to something besides the default in ATI's Catalyst Control Center you get that.

I have the same video card as Reinheart! :D

it's a bug remember ffxiv 2.0 would be a new client and you have to download a new game and delete your old 1.0 game lol. That bug been happening sense beta

I think the client going to look more like new games like Tera and WoW seeing how they also allowing us to make UI Addons i think it going to look really cool ;)

Same card as both of them, I actually took the time months ago to figure out at what point the card does that.
also I always wondered if the white screen is the glitch. WTH are they rendering white smoke on a white background otherwise?
