So, why cant we put in gear we have purchased from the cash shop, into the armoire?
It's.. a little strange.
We also cant put in any of our class gear after 50.
;-; 400 slots is very filled when you have every class at 90.

Gotta sell those additional retainers somehow :P lol
I stuffed a lot of completed armor sets into the glamour dresser using that as storage.
Also, why are the Salvager and armoire separate things? Why not 'store' those items in there instead?
Or at least put an equivalent of the salvager in the inn rooms, maybe as a lost and found box or something. Oh, and searchable... those menus are not great.
most job specific gear (AF gear) can be repurchased from the appropriate vendor for each expansion. I say *most* because there are some you have to rebuy with other currencies. There's no need to store those in the armoire hence why they can't be stored in the armoire. no need to keep them around just use at will and throw away again.
Last time this topic came up this was a given answer. But even with being able to repurchase most gear from the vendor you don't have access to repurchasing the dyeable versions, right? Or have they fixed this? Because for some I'd rather not put myself through having to go back to EX farming, or doing Anemos in Eureka.
you also cant repurchase the dyable 80 sets, you need to do memoria miseria ex.
At this point, every time I saw a great set of equipment i wanna try, i always reminded myself to also choose which equipment to throw away....
We need a glamor catalogue.
Yeah. A lot of my retainer space is taken up by the dyeable AF gear from across the expansions. And I will agree to the statement of not hanging onto every piece, like with SCH since I don't touch it. But that still leaves a bunch that I'd love to hang into due to actually playing those jobs. And just as such it would be nice if there was a way to store them or repurchase dyeable variants. But as that doesn't seem likely then I'll more or less be instantly filling my glamour dresser once the cap increases. Or they upgrade the armoire, which doesn't seem likely.
Also can't repurchase level 60 dyeable versions BTW. Learnt that when I boosted MNK to 80. In fact it wont even be at the Salvager, you have to farm Centurio Seals.
Yeah. Seems we're left with not hanging onto everything, settle for the basic options offered at the npcs, let it fill your inventory, or toss it into the glamour dresser. The armoire really needs an upgrade. I'm finding that less and less is able to be thrown into there aside from seasonal event stuff, if and when we're given something at all.
It doesn't even have to be this expansion, but knowing there's plans to enhance it would be great. Just don't lock it behind some additional paywall via the companion app.
First I was like you then I started to dye my items and I started to take more and more out if the Armoire. Jet Black, Pure White and Pastel Pink are too valuable.
When was the last time we could even store something in the Armoire anyways?
we should get dyeable job armor directly into the armoir as soon as we reach the related lvl on the job.
oh and they should put in there everything we bought in the shop... without the need to put it inside it ourself... the same for new characters as well. i created one recently... the poor postmoogle had to do three rounds til i got everything
Original post mentioned storing gear purchased from the FFXIV store in the Armoire which I agree with completely.
Really I want to be able to shove relics in there. Like I understand you can just get replicas but after grinding for the OG weapon, I'm not deleting it and it's stupid that you can't even put it in the glamour dresser.
I'd like for the armoire to at least hold relic weapons and possibly relic gear from Eureka, Bozja, etc.
thats an odd one actually.
the GD can hold every step of the ressistance Weapon... EXCEPT the "blade's X" Weapon.. aka the final step. i imagine its specifically because you unlock the replica of the Blade weapon at the same time as you unlock the blade weapon itself
