We just scored our first FC house (ever), a Medium so we are all good as it were.
I see a few posts about people wanting private houses for RP events understandably, others stating they cant use Apartments due to small sizes.
If they made ... Larger privately owned apartments would that not technically serve the required purpose of an instanced housing partition for that while still preserving whats already there?

Larger apartments and/or having the ability to upgrade current apartments have both been suggested by the fans for a while now as a solution to the housing problem but for some reason the devs either can't or don't want to implement it. :/

Luxury sized apartments with a garden balcony would be a great idea and solve a ton of issues. But undoubtedly they'll keep churning out Housing Wards instead.

06-16-2022, 03:17 AMBesameOk, to be fair, in my travels perusing the large FC mansions what I have seen a lot used for are simply "ERP" rooms, (you can make a lot of them in a mansion), and I was surprised a few times walking into a mansion, wanting to check the decor and running into charactters moving on a bed or in a hot tub and groaning and text going on. IMO, mansions should not be a priority to just FCs so they can do their so-called RP antics, you can RP in a smaller size too...Quote:

Buy a backdoor that goes into an instanced room that just happens to think it's outside and lets me place outside items.
I would buy a door in a side wall with a staircase to a second floor.
I would buy upgrades to the apartment to make it larger and larger until it was medium sized.
I would buy upgrades to the stairs to have a lower floor.
If each of the upgrades cost more than the previous one so that the total footprint of an apartment that was a small was about the same price as a small, a medium cost about a medium, a mansion about the cost of a mansion, and the next upgrade 10 TIMES that cost.... people would probably still have gold to sink into it, and quite happilly.
Course it would require a lot of work to make the instance code able to support it.
On the other hand it would be a massive gold sink, even better than the gold mounts. -
