Fix fashion accessories. The minion disappears when you use them. If I interact with anything they come off. Can't use mounts with them. I don't see the logistical problem with me wearing sunglasses and riding a chocobo or even fighting. I get with an umbrella or something but are my wings really getting in the way of me hitting something? Other games have this shit sorted. Why do I have to constantly be re-enabling them? At least set an auto-re-enable for when it comes off due to an action or something. At this point they're just glorified AFK cosmetics I forget exist.

A bit curious - what MMO has a Fashion Accessory style system (short of those using a gear slot to replace gear with some sort of cosmetic item). I can't remember any other MMO where I was able to use an umbrella/parasol. -

SE thinks FFXIV is a screenshot simulator, and for that purpose fashion accessories are perfectly fine.
However, if you look at FFXIV as a MMORPG, with LIVE social interaction and LIVE roleplay, fashion accessories were one of the biggest wastes of resources that were funneled into this game so far, because it's clunky and horribly implemented. -

Frankly, it's better that minions disappear when using accessories. First thing I think of is the minion sitting on the same shoulder you're resting the umbrella on. Is it really so bad that you can't have all these things going on at once or do folks want to look like cluttered messes?

Used to be you couldn't even /cpose with them on (umbrellas specifically), but they fixed that semi recently. Which is just to say that they're at least aware of this feature being not-great and steadily improving it, unlike other systems. Maybe someday we'll be able to draw our weapon while wearing fashion accessory glasses.
